This place is super popular in Provo, so my husband and I tried it a few weeks ago. It was genuinely so disappointing. We got the chocolate tastings, a hot chocolate, and a sipping chocolate.
The chocolate tasting was fine, and it was fun trying the samples from different regions. However, both the hot chocolate and sipping chocolate were terrible. We couldn’t bring ourselves to drink more than a few sips of each. I’m not sure if it’s because we came decently late at night (around 8pm on a Saturday), but the hot chocolate tasted like spoiled milk. The sipping chocolate was marginally better, but it still tasted rotten. We were so confused by the terrible taste because we’ve seen so many good reviews about the hot chocolate at this place. However, the hot chocolate tasted so bad that even if it was given to us for free, we wouldn’t try it again.
The atmosphere is cute. Lots of seating, but some of the tables were dirty when we came (probably because the staff took a while to clean the tables up). The staff was friendly, but service was a bit slow. We also saw the employees snacking a lot while preparing the food. That was pretty strange and off-putting.

A chocolate tasting is such a unique, fun and memorable experience!! (Not to mention scrumptious!!) It’s a great date night or girls’ night out etc. And the Taste team is awesome!! I needed a gift certificate but had some questions, and everyone I spoke with was SO NICE!!! And Ellie especially went the extra mile to provide AMAZING service!! I highly recommend supporting this awesome establishment!!

Honestly so disappointed. We’ve come here in the past and it’s been good but tonight the service was absolutely terrible. It took an HOUR to get one hot chocolate and we had to ask about it three times. For the price, the service needs to be better. Definitely won’t be returning in the future.

I’ve been here a few times for the afternoon tea and it has been delicious and fun every time. Recently, I ordered a s’mores cake from Taste for my birthday because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to find time to make my own (which I usually do because I’m pretty picky about my cakes) and it was so delicious. I’ve had cakes from another cake shop in Orem a few times and have been unimpressed every time, but I was very pleased with this cake. The frosting was smooth and not overly sweet and the cake was dense and not too dry. Super happy that they were able to make it with only 4 days notice and it was totally worth the $65 for a 3-layer 8 inch cake.
