Great idea to make an ice cream sandwich. If you order the $7 option, two can easily eat this.
Every summer my boyfriend and I work in Salt Lake, and visiting Penguin Brothers in Sugar House used to be one of our favorite adventures (RIP to that location!). This summer we made the trip out to Provo to visit the new spot, and I forgot just how much I missed the honeycomb ice cream—the one that tastes just like airplane cookies (biscoff)—and the salted chocolate, which is still incredible.
Our server, Zoe, was such a sweetheart. She welcomed us warmly, offered us samples of flavors we hadn’t tried, asked about our adventures, and even wished us safe travels. She really made us feel like valued guests.
The shop itself is adorable, the ice cream is as amazing as ever, and while I think the cookie recipe may have changed a bit, the overall experience was still a 5/5. We missed you, Penguin Brothers, and we’re so glad we came back. Can’t wait until next time! ❤️🍦🐧
Best place for dessert if the cookies are soft!!
This isn’t about the ice cream, because that part is great. It more about the events customer service. A few weeks ago, we emailed the events email address to order a $50 gift card. They were very quick to respond and take our money over the phone. The gift card was never received, and so we’ve attempted multiple times to reach out. It was acknowledged that we didn’t receive the card, but we’ve since been ghosted. Looking at other reviews, this is not the first time this has happened. I’ve tried reaching out via email and Facebook to no avail.
I would never in a million years work with them for anything catering. Going in store is fine, but never for anything other than simple transactions
Totally recommended. Very kind service. A lot of very good, very diverse flavors. The group consensus was that the s’more flavor was the best. Honeycomb was the runner up. It’s a pretty hidden location and the staff have to help both the drive through and the people in-restaurant. The wait was a little long for us.

The worker was very kind, but he didn’t inform us of the pricing beforehand. Either the prices are outrageous for the portion size, or we were charged incorrectly. Either way, I won’t be returning. I paid $8.35 for an ice cream sandwich that consisted of about half a scoop of ice cream and two very small cookies.
All time favorite dessert in Provo!! The warm cookie with ice cream can’t be beat!
Service was great! The employees were super friendly and the ice cream was really good! It's also fun watching them make it!
Penguin bro’s is a national treasure and we should be working harder to protect it. There just aren’t enough dessert places open late in Utah and this is one of the best! Their Sugarhouse location (RIP) was the perfect place to go on a summer evening. It was a huge loss for the community when they closed. I wish the provo one was closer so I could go more often! Can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. 10/10 recommend. Everyone in Provo should go—you don’t know
how good you have it. Sigh.
Everyone is Friendly and the price is decent.
