Waffle Love - Provo Riverwoods

We visited this place on Saturday morning with family. The half of the menu was out of order! No water was available. The seating upholsteries were worn and torn and looks pretty bad. The table was dirty and sticky. Bathroom was horrible the door and the handle were dirty and the stains were on the toilet seat/floor and no toilet paper? None! I had to go to the kitchen to ask for one and there was only one worker there. It didn't take long to get our orders because the place was empty. (Even Saturday morning?) But my Waffle was hard and not flesh (pre-made a couple of days ago?) and raspberries were unwashed. Not enough knives for us and all the utensils were dirty and sticky. My son said that his chicken tasted weird and wouldn't eat because he didn't want to get sick. One of my husband's chicken pieces was undercooked and couldn't eat either. It was a bad experience. We went to Provo location a few years ago and loved it! But It was a busy location, so when we found this location was less crowded, we started coming here, but the last time there were only 2 workers and took long time to get the orders, but this time was lot less crowded (almost empty) but it was worse than the last time! This place is going down the hill. We will never come back here again for sure!

Our experiences have declined in quality over the last year and a half +/-. This last visit, 9/7/24 was probably my last. Dirty bathrooms, broken soft drink fountain (couldn’t even get water), chicken not cooked through. Nothing from the savory menu was available but the chicken. No knives. A pretty underwhelming experience. Overall, the store just seams more run down. Ya, I’m done there.

I loved my breakfast sandwich waffle! Loved how flakey the savory waffle was. The only employee there (I think his name was Dan?) was really nice, efficient, and did a good job with our food. We only waited around 5 minutes for our waffles to come out, my husband got a chicken tartine and liked it a lot.

This place never has working drinks. Never. And now, no cups for water. We always wait at least 30 minutes for an order of two even when no one else is the store. It is crazy! Food is good but go to another waffle live to get it!

There were only 2 employees working. No one was waiting in line and there was a sign on the register that said 20 minute wait. The garbage can was out of its cabinet with no garbage sack. The kitchen was a disaster. All the tables were messy. Major neglect!

Chicken and waffle took 30 minutes to make. The tables were also very dirty and it was quite obvious how much the employees hated their jobs. It’s okay to not like your job, but showing that attitude while customers are around was already pretty discouraging. Restroom didn’t have any toilet paper as well.
Food was good, but just not worth the wait imo.

We waited for 45 minutes for burnt waffles that had no sugar bits and were underdone in the middle. They only had one poor girl working the Saturday morning rush. She was good but the place was packed and she had no help.

We had high hopes but this ended up being a multiple whammy visit. First, the AC seemed to be out so it was toasty, the menu screen was really difficult to read, and any of our waffles ordered with raspberries, the raspberries were moldy. When we requested replacement waffles, they took about 20 mins to get us them out to us and one of the waffles was the wrong one (biscoff instead of lemon curd). Not impressed and won’t be coming back to this location.

Die hard Waffle Love fan here! My wife and I have been coming to Waffle love for over 2 years, and have always loved the food and vibe.

I’m writing this review while sitting in the restaurant, out of pure concern from a couple things we noticed and want to bring attention to the owners for! Still doing a 5 star review from the MANY times we had Waffle Love, and everything was super good! But here are a couple things we noticed this visit that were concerning:

1. Store was out of some main course food items: (Bisque, Avocado, items for chicken sliders, bananas)
2. No one welcomed us in, and the food ordering process could’ve been a little smoother or at least done with a smile.. They didn’t look like they wanted to be there.(3 people were working at 7:33 PM on Wednesday, August 21st.)
3. No ice in the vending machines
4. No dishes done (no metal plates, they used paper plates, no metal utensils) and if you’ve had the tartine, you know you need metal utensils for the chicken!
5. Ads over the radio every 3 songs

These things just kind of compounded one over the other to create a less-than-stellar experience we usually have at this location. Please don’t take these as nitpicking- we’re justing wanting our usual Waffle Love back! :)

We love waffle love but this location didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered a chicken avocado tartine and the chicken was not cooked all the way. Tomato and avocado on my plate were super cold.

My wife got a waffle with bananas en strawberries, and the strawberries were super soft and one had some sort of mold.

Again, we love waffle love but this location was not it. We didn’t finish our food.

This restaurant used to be wonderful! But now the service is shockingly terrible. The fountain drink machine has been broken for (at least) a year. And the food is never good. Today’s visit was the worst one yet. Of the two employees working, one of them never actually stood up to help. No one else was here but us and it still took 25 minutes to get poorly prepared food. The restaurant looks dingy and like it’s mostly gone out of business at this point. I’m not sure who the manager is, but it’s terrible in here.

Needs new management who cares. Every table was dirty and floor was sticky. (9:40am 08/17/24) They were out of cups so you couldn’t get a drink, out of fried chicken, out of to go boxes, had 1 employee working.

A joke of a place, will never be back. Don’t go so that management can get the message. Unfortunately this review will just go to their management and nothing will happen. But at least you can not go and maybe a lack of income for the company will send a message they care more about.

When was the last time a waffle took 30 minutes to cook? 3 employees and nothing seems to be going on back there.
