Went to their venue at the fall fest and got their apple cider cake cup. Customer service 10/10, very friendly and a delight to talk to. The apple cider cake I got? Delicious, definitely would get again.

I wish I could offer a review of the baked goods but since the $135 of cookie kits that I paid for were never received I can’t.I honestly made a mistake thanks to Google….lol! I searched best sugar cookies in Galveston Texas and ended up seeing tons of reviews for Sugar Bean. I searched Google for Sugar Bean Bakery in Galveston and there was a Facebook link to this bakery in Utah. Nothing on the pages that I saw from the link (on my phone viewing not a computer) or any of the pages to which I processed my order said anything about Utah. It said Richfield but I didn’t know that Galveston didn’t have a suburb called Richfield because I’m not from there. As soon as I realized the mistake, I contacted the shop owner who refused my refund. This I understood. She gave me options. To try and sell them and if she did, she would refund what she sold. She also offered to overnight or ship two days on December 22, telling me that I needed to respond by 9 pm to have them mailed. I assumed this meant that the local UPS store was open until 9 pm like mine at home is. Well, she didn’t mail them until the 23rd and didn’t let me know when 2 day shipping was going to take 5 days. She knew that we were traveling and staying at a vacation rental. She didn’t know when we were leaving. She didn’t ask. However, if something is going to take 5 days when you call it 2 day shipping, you should reach out to the customer. She didn’t.She also wasn’t nice about it, didn’t care that we weren’t getting cookies that we paid over $200 for and was overall terrible in the customer service department.

On Tuesday, August 23, my friend and I made a quick stop in Richfield for work and passed by the Sugar Bean Bakery. We both have a fierce sweet tooth, so we knew we'd be stopping in to check it out. When you walk in, it's a really interesting atmosphere, kind of an open industrial feel, but very modern and cute. The cupcakes out front looked beautiful and tempting. The busyness was encouraging. I saw "Italian sodas" on the menu, of which I've had many in my life, at Italian restaurants such as Olive Garden and Buca di Beppo, and other sweet shops like The Cocoa Bean in Provo. I've also made a few of my own at home. I was excited at the prospect of an Italian soda to finish our drive to St. George. So I ordered a 24oz Italian soda with raspberry and coconut, at which point the girl at the counter told us that she would have to learn how to make them. She explained that she was new and had recently moved from Lehi to be closer to family. She brought us over to the side of the counter where the other baked goods were. She patiently explained what each item was and shared feedback on the ones she had tried. She was very helpful, and the sweets looked delicious. I paid for my scone and soda via their iPad; it totaled about $5. She asked the woman who appeared to be the owner if she could help her make the soda. There was some delay at this point, and the young lady helped the next person in line rather than finishing our transaction. A bit later, the owner came over and asked, "What flavor did you want?" I said I asked for raspberry and coconut, so she told me (after I had already paid) that it would be extra because I wanted two flavors. I explained that I didn't really want twice the amount of syrup, only the two flavors divided in the right amount for the drink. She shook her head and impatiently insisted that it was still two flavors. At most restaurants, the owner would probably say, "It's usually an extra charge, but since you've already paid, we'll go ahead and do it." And then maybe offer a brief correction to the new employee for the future. Instead, she seemed very put out about my request. I ate my scone as we watched them make my drink. I was pleased with the scone and told my friend that it was really good. As we watched them, we could both see her carefully measuring the amount of syrup she was putting in the cup. It didn't appear to be very much. Out of concern, I wanted to try the soda before leaving. I did, and I could barely taste a hint of syrup in there. It tasted creamy (probably from the half and half), but the syrup was so minimal the soda had barely altered its color or flavor. I had my friend try it, and she expressed the same thoughts. I told the owner that it mostly tasted like half and half. Her demeanor seemed to turn defensive, and she told us that "There was hardly any cream in it at all," like what I described was preposterous. I politely asked if there would be any way to get a little more syrup or get my money back. Rather than just add a maybe another pump or two of the flavors, she recoiled the drink from me and unpleasantly said, "I'll absolutely give your money back." So she had the young lady do the refund. I let the new employee know for future reference that normally you use a couple of pumps of syrup for every cup of soda. I said they would probably have a lot of unhappy customers if they continued to make the sodas like that. She seemed a little uncomfortable at my feedback. One recipe suggests 1-2oz syrup for every cup of club soda (2-4 pumps). For three cups, it should be 3-6oz of syrup (6-12 pumps). At about $7 per 25oz bottle of Torani syrup, with a .5oz pump, you'd get 50 pumps or so, at $.14 each to break even. I am not sure what all the fuss was about, even if I did want "extra" flavoring. It seems to me like more trouble to do the refund and waste the time and products than to just be generous and try to ensure your customer is happy. I was really sad about how t

Absolutely delicious. We had the walnut brownies, a cinnamon roll, a lemon scone, sour cream coffee cake and a cookie and it was all excellent. Their breakfast sandwiches were tasty and filling. Everything was made fresh. The ladies there were friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend Sugar Bean to anyone passing by.

Good breakfast burrito, great pastries, friendly staff, and the building was beautiful.

I wasn't expecting a world-class bakery in Richfield Utah - what a great discovery. A fantastic place for breakfast. I especially loved the cream cheese croissants.

I've been known to stalk bakeries across county lines, so when passing through Richfield and looking for a little breakfast, the Yelp app pointed us here and it was a no-brainer. We had to stop for a little breakfast (me) and coffee (co-pilot). The space is huge--right there on Main Street, you walk in and immediately are overcome with all the exposed brick of the historic Main building. There's a bakery case staring right at you, and another around the bend of the "bar," and you'll also notice the open kitchen. There's the lineup of KitchenAid mixers, bakery racks, and there was a hustle and bustle of Richfield moms putting together cookies and cupcakes and all kinds of baked things. We chatted with the owner who explained each pastry in the case. Under normal circumstances I would have jumped all over that cinnamon roll, heaped with creamy frosting on top. But having eaten more than one cinnamon roll already that week, I opted for a breakfast bun. It was more of a croissant dough roll, with a little melted butter magic inside. It was much simpler and smaller, but just what I wanted. I also got to try the something-lime coffee cake (blackberry? cranberry? I wasn't paying enough attention, apparently) and it was also sweet and had a nice citrus after-punch. Honestly, you could go with anything in that case from a croissant to a scone and you'd be happy. We also ordered breakfast sandwiches, which were decently sized. They were served on normal sliced bread which didn't really do justice to the insides and might not hold up if you didn't eat them immediately. Maybe an English muffin or perhaps a roll of some kind would stand up to it and give it a little more chew? Upstairs you'll find a little boutique with a few take-home items from the bakery like homemade jam, but mostly home decor type stuff. A lot of vinyl lettering with kiyooooot sayings on them for your country home. This was a fun stop in town, and certainly a nice surprise. Everyone was very gracious and we got a nice breakfast on the cheap before heading back out for more adventure.

I stopped at Sugar Bean Bakery solely because I found this wonderful little family owned bakery here on YELP. That's right, I YELPED IT!! I was waited on by a friendly & sweet young lady, who turned out to be one of the owners. I ordered a lemon scone, a sweeten cream cheese filled croissant & hot chocolate. I have nothing but love for the croissant, but that Lemon Scone...WOW!! The BEST scone I have ever had! I wish I could bake like the woman that makes these. I have always loved scones & I have yet to find ANY this delicious in Las Vegas. It had just the right amount of lemon flavor, it was tender and moist, without being too moist. You scone people out there know what I'm talkin about. I should have ordered every scone they had and taken them with me on the rest of my journey. Anyone who's in Richfield Utah, or just passing through, needs to stop in to Sugar Bean Bakery and try their amazing baked goods. I have no doubt that everything they bake is amazing!

OMG. Go here, go now - no matter where you live, go here. I was just passing through and needed some bread. I like supporting local, independent, small businesses. I saw "bakery" and stopped in. First of all, it is in a COOL historic building. You walk in and are overtaken by the smell of bakery goods. Each thing in the display case looks better than the next. They were out of bread (the lady told me the fresh bread is baked daily and sells out quick), but, I certainly didn't leave empty handed. There is free parking around the back (I recommend going back there, the building is beautiful from the back). There's a back door entrance into the bakery. There were several tables where you could sit around and enjoy your yummy baked goods. The place was clean and very charming! On to the eats! We had a sour cream coffee cake - it was so insanely delicious! When I bit into it, I could taste the fresh ingredients in it. It wasn't too sweet, it was just perfect. And, the crumb topping was to die for. It just tasted like something your grandmother would bake on the farm years ago with fresh ingredients. We go through life buying our bakery goods in large chain stores that are filled with sugar and unknown ingredients - so, when you get something like this, you REALLY appreciate and savor it. Second, we had an orange roll. It had a sweet orange glaze on top, and it was like a big dinner roll. Again, not too sweet, and oooooh SO fresh and delicious (see photo). The last thing was a lemon bar - incredibly delicious. If it seems we were overloaded on baked goods, that would be true. But, we were travelling cross-country and sometimes we ended up in the desert with nothing to eat - so, we always like being prepared. Overload would have been if I bought everything in this charming bakery - and don't think I wasn't tempted! The prices were very, very reasonable (cheap), so that might have contributed to my overload. p.s. We didn't eat them all at once!! :)

I came here for lunch with a friend a month ago. We both had the turkey avocado BLT sandwich and it was amazing! The bread was fresh and soft; the turkey was thick cut and you could tell it was cooked that day. I also had the corn chowder soup which was delicious as well. I didn't try a baked good, something I'll have to remedy on my next visit! So glad to have another quality dining option in Sevier County!

In terms of bakeries, this one is amazing! They really had a lot more than baked goods. When I went, the line was to the door and people were getting soups, sandwiches, all sorts of baked things and I tried a little of everything since we were in a big group and didn't know what was good. It all was! Turns out, everything is made fresh from scratch! In this little area, this bakery brings a lot of variety.

Absolutely amazing baked goods! Everything they make is baked fresh that day from scratch. No way to be disappointed with anything you get from here!

Today is opening day. I don't think they realized how big they would be because it's 1:00 and they are pretty much out of everything. We were able to snatch the last Mexican hot chocolate cupcakes, which were amazing! We also got a brownie, and a few chocolate chip cookies which were both pretty standard nothing to rave about, but tasty none the less. Next time I stop in Richfield I would eat here again, maybe when they settle in a bit and put a menu up, and give some of their other treats a try.
