They offered a military discount, and instead of giving it to me, they added to the bill what they were supposed to take off. Instead of $42 I was charged $53. I won't be coming back.

I enjoy Zao’s. The food is fresh and it’s something easy and not super heavy. The offer decent customer service and I’ll appreciative to have another eating establishment that offers some variety. I do wish they had some additional topping options. But the food is good.

Used to love this place. Bought two bowls and the rice noodles were soggy! Minimal toppings for what we paid. Girl on the other side was shy and you could hardly hear her. Disappointed.

Zao Riverdale, after years of being faithful to you as I do enjoy your food I’m sad to say that today confirmed I’m parting ways. Tonight 6/26/2025 I went in to grab dinner after a long 16hr shift. As I patiently waited for your employee (couldn’t get her name as no one was wearing a name tag) she was Hispanic as I am one too and heard she spoke Spanish, to finish counting money as I stood in front of her for a good 3 minutes without being acknowledged by her not that I need to be but this is a business, I was told by another employee to move to the other side as I wasn’t standing in the actual line to order by mistake. I watch her finish counting the money DOES NOT wash her hands and just grabs a pair of gloves and starts handling food, she also made no effort to be heard as I could not hear any questions she was asking me and everytime I asked to confirmed what she asked it seemed like it bothered her. I wouldn’t be leaving this review if it wasn’t a matter not to be concerned but the fact that there’s no handwashing after counting money worries and makes me wonder about the overall cleanliness of this place. Your business is at great risk by these employees. Also, there is absolutely nothing more unpleasant than to spend $15 minimum at this place and not be able to enjoy your food. Do better.

Manager takes great pride in taking care of his customers. Food is fresh, dinning area is clean. We love that they have healthier quick food options. We always have crazy request due to dietary requirements. The staff goes above and beyond to meet these needs.

The food from Riverdale was good about 2 months ago. They seem to only make clumpy rice and added more and very little meet in each bowl I've ordered and progressively getting worse. It was good while it lasted. Time to find another place to eat!
