Food is great, but I paid $23 for a steak bowl, side of guac and a Thai tee..
Manager takes great pride in taking care of his customers. Food is fresh, dinning area is clean. We love that they have healthier quick food options. We always have crazy request due to dietary requirements. The staff goes above and beyond to meet these needs.
Food here is always good and I love the customization with me being such a picky eater!
The food from Riverdale was good about 2 months ago. They seem to only make clumpy rice and added more and very little meet in each bowl I've ordered and progressively getting worse.
It was good while it lasted. Time to find another place to eat!
We tried the pot stickers they were good .
I love Zao. This location is good, but it didn't hold up to the other locations that I have been to. The food and portions that are given out here are just not that good. Other than that it was a good visit.
Overall a positive experience. Food is good, but a bit pricey for the result.
Their portions of topings are comedically small. Honestly didn't even ask for more, just actually was in shock and couldn't stop laughing at how they were just pinching a tiny bit of each ingredient. Like it's coming out of their paycheck lol.

Zao Cafe: A Hidden Gem for Asian Fusion Enthusiasts
I recently dined at Zao Cafe, and I must say, it was an experience that truly stood out. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is welcoming with an authentic Asian vibe that sets the stage for what's to come.
Food Quality: The menu at Zao Cafe offers a delightful array of choices, each dish bursting with flavor. I opted for their signature steak bowl, and it did not disappoint; the freshness of the ingredients combined with the perfect balance of spices made it a culinary delight. The Steak was cooked to perfection, not overly soft but with a nice texture that complemented the other elements of the dish. The tacos were another highlight, providing a fusion that was both surprising and satisfying. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied but not overly full.

The food is good but I concur with the other reviews. This used to be a good place to come eat, but it’s getting more expensive and you’re getting less food noticeably less food. we could’ve gone a few other restaurants, but we decided to try this and it’s the second time in a row, that I think our portions have actually got smaller. It used to be that the noodles and everything were overflowing on the top of the bowl now it doesn’t even reach the top, not even close. I think if they wanna keep their customers, they need to give up some profits for customer satisfaction because we are not coming here again until they fix it. It’s really good but no longer worth the price.

Seems like the Asian version of Chipotle. I wish we had Zao Asian Cafe in Texas.

We love Zao. My wife and I love how fast and convenient it is, but more importantly, how it is still very flavorful and fresh.
