Went to go get some boba around 5:40 tonight to find they were closed. This is the second time this is happened. I double checked Google maps to make sure they were open. It says open till 10pm but I have them closed early the past two times I’ve been. The doors were unlocked and there was some random guy inside the store behind the counter looking confused before shrugging at me from my car and leaving. This is a huge safety concern.. im not sure why they close so early and forget to lock their doors….

So when I first start coming here the boba was pretty good, but like the last 3-4 times I've been there tea's been watery, and the tapioca pearls have been really mushy and overcooked. Not sure what happened but at least until the figure out what they're doing wrong I wouldn't recommend this place.

I really loved this place, and when I heard they were opening a new location in Riverton, Utah, I was genuinely excited.

Unfortunately, the experience at this location has been disappointing, and I don’t think the owners realize what’s happening with their staff. Here’s what I’ve noticed:

The place is often dirty and disorganized.

The employees tend to have a rude attitude.

Some days, they close earlier than the posted hours and just spend time on their phones.

The reason I decided to write this review is because of what happened today—November 9, 2025, at 6:30 pm. I went with my family to buy drinks, and the girl working there told us they didn’t have classic boba. This was the second time she’s attended to me, and both times it’s been the same excuse.

Isn’t each shift supposed to be prepared? How is it possible that this keeps happening? And to make things worse, she always closes earlier than scheduled. It really makes me wonder—do they actually run out, or does she just not want to do her job?

I really love this place, but I’ve never gone with my mom. She finally took me today, and I was so excited to show it to her. At 2:30 PM, we made sure that it was open and on the website it definitely said open. When we got there, the doors were locked. I was so excited and then extremely sad and I even cried a little bit because I’m 13 and I really big emotions. That def sent me off. Extremely sad and disappointed, don’t plan on coming back unless there is a GOOD and REAL reason

Drove 30 minutes here. Showed up at 6:30 on a Sunday when it says they are open until 11 on the door. Lights off and doors locked. Waited until 6:45, nothing. Disappointing to say the least

Employees sometimes hang out in the back for extended periods of time, usually if you let the door close loudly they'll come to the front. Today, however, we stood at the register for close to 10 minutes and didn't see a single employee. There were other customers sitting at tables that had already been served but whatever noise we made nobody came out to check for new customers. Ended up leaving without being served, not a great experience.

Boba was over cooked, mushy and falling apart. I asked if there was any fresh fruit smoothies and she said yes and gave us a frozen Costco bag of premixed fruit as a smoothie. It was the grossest most watered down smoothie I’ve ever had. If you use frozen fruit you have to use powder or syrup to solidify the taste too.

We didn’t leave the parking lot and asked for a refund. For an $8 smoothie that’s the worst quality I’ve ever tasted.

When we asked for a refund she was super rude and told us that she can’t issue refunds. When we asked for someone that could she told us there’s no one here that could do it. What management leaves a single person running an entire shop without the ability to handle problems when they arise?

I then watched her MICROWAVE boba. Never in my life have I see a boba spot microwave boba and I’ve worked at multiple boba spots. No wonder the boba was mushy and overcooked.

We wanted a refund and they couldn’t provide it. You can see in the photo, the drink didn’t even last 5 minutes before completely separating. This was taken right after both of us trying it and then asking for a refund.

Super disappointed and will never recommend this place or be back. We threw the entire drink away. 🤮

Boba Bee is our favorite boba place. We always go to the one in American Fork. We decided to bring some to my sister, who lives in Herriman, so we thought we’d stop at the location in Riverton, since it’s closer. We arrived at 8:56pm. The employees saw us drive up, ran over and locked the door. The sign on the door said they closed at 10pm. Even if it were 9pm, the customer service is awful. I get wanting to go home on a Wednesday night in the summer, but they were just rude. Won’t be going back.
