We have eaten here 5 or 6 times and it was ok for an all you can eat for $20 a person. This time it was just not good. The only good bites were the egg rolls, fresh melon and the donuts. We tried the low mein, butterfly shrimp, BBQ ribs, salt n pepper shrimp, sushi, Mongolian grill, beef and broccoli, fries, fried drum sticks, chicken shishkabobs, potstickers and jello. We kept hoping the next thing would be good and it just wasn't. Anything in Roy is better than City Buffet including Maverick and 7-eleven. We will not be returning.

We went Friday 3/28/25 to eat at this place. I saw one of the cooks in the sushi area blow his nose in the sink, he got snot on his hands and did not wash his hands, he took a paper towel and wiped his snot off. I told him that I saw what he did and he signed I don’t understand. So I did a sign what I saw and a sign to wash his hands. He responded sorry but didn’t do it. I went to tell the manager and she went to talk to him. Since it was a foreign language I don’t know what she said to him. That was the last time I will eat in that restaurant.

Solid Chinese buffet. We arrived around 11:30. Everything was prepared and fresh. We were promptly greeted and seated. Huge selection of food including your normal Chinese buffet items including general tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and beef and broccoli. Large selection of sushi rolls all of which were good. Had cold seafood salad and a cold squid and seafood salad. Mongolian barbecue selection was good with thick cut steak. Service was great and staff was very friendly. I would eat here again.

Everyone I talked to said they got food poisoning here, but I tried it anyway. Surprise! I got food poisoning. If you want good food at a good price, just keep driving west on 5600 to Royal Dragon.

I've been here quite a bit, but no more. Went to the buffet today (3/3/2025) and it was horrible. The sushi was okay and that is why the food is not a one star. Food was cold, old, and dried out. It was very poor quality. The soup was all but gone with hard crusted, dried soup on the side. The noodles were so old and dried they were crunch. The beef an broccoli was dried. There were two us, so they took 4 plates and refilled our cup once. Then when I left, I didn't leave a tip on the receipt, so the waitress hunted me down and asked me for a total. I put on the total, no tip. She then started to yell in to the other waitresses who gave us a scowl. Unbelievable. Also, there were kids running around the buffet and no one stopped them, or prevented them from digging in to the buffet and making a mess. Never again, the food is mediocre at best, and the entitlement for a tip is just disgusting. Avoid at all costs. Your money would be best spent somewhere else.

If you like buffets with mainly oriental food. You might like this place. But I didn't try the noodle bar or lo mein bar I'm not sure what they call it. But my friends who went there and recommended the noodles. They said that you go there and tell them what you want your meats and your vegetables and they build it for you.
