I love that they’re not your typical Hawaiian spot that tends to be one-note. These guys have so many options. The standards are solid (teriyaki chicken, katsu, kalua pork) but they’ve also got garlic chicken, occasional garlic shrimp specials, deep fried musubi, and tons more. Can’t go wrong with any of it. I also found out the owner is a trained chef.

Amazing, fast, fresh, and delicious food. I love the atmosphere inside it’s cozy and quiet. It’s nice to have a place in Salem that isn’t just food sitting in a warmer for hours. Food that’s made to order but still comes out fast. I will definitely be coming here often.

Food was simple tasty and delicious. The curry with chicken katsu is a must have. Katsu chicken was cooked just right and the curry just add another layer of flavors. The kalua pork was delicious and moist and full of flavors as well. Along with the rice and the mac salad, it was a nice 2-meat plate of tenderness, flavorful and taste. Our order was mixed up a little and before we even finished explaining to the worker, the owner and the manager stepped in and immediate remediated the confusion and went above and beyond to correct the hiccup, and we were quite satisfied with the service. It was a very friendly envirnment and we wil definitely recommend it and absolutely come back Ryan (owner) and Bree were friendly and welcoming, along with their crew.

First time trying their food today and it’s awesome. I tried their curry Katsu and their loco moco, both were amazing. Jst to top it off I met the owner Ryan who was pretty down to earth and friendly. It’s safe to say that I will be back with my family. It’s the best Hawaiian style food I’ve had.

Good Grinds is easily one of my favorite places to eat in Salem. The service is always friendly and fast — you can really tell they care about their customers. I love the local feel of the place; it has that small-town charm that makes you want to keep coming back.
The food is always fresh and packed with flavor, and their sauces are incredible — seriously, I could put them on everything. You can tell they put pride into what they make. If you’re looking for great food, great people, and a welcoming local vibe, Good Grinds is the place to go!
Went there for lunch as I saw the chicken sandwich special. Absolutely delicious. Also had the garlic chicken. It was delicious also. Talked to the owner and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it. Five stars all the way across. Good prices and very large portions.

The chicken sandwich was by far, the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! We also ate some garlic chicken and the fried spam musubi and it all tasted unreal! I’ve never liked a Hawaiian restaurant until coming into Good Grindz! I’ll be here on the regular!
The owner came out and talked with us and was so nice, friendly and made sure we loved our food. This guy is a great business owner! 10/10!
