The coffee was 7 stars. The cinnamon roll, bagel, and scone were like 3 stars. So it averages out to 5 stars anyway. I’m sure they were just pulled out of a box, but that’s how they tasted as well. They were all cold. For how much they cost, I would’ve expected it to at least taste fresh instead of being underwhelming. That coffee tho! Wow! I got the peach cobbler latte and I was thrilled to still taste the espresso. Definitely not like a Dutch bros or Starbucks where it’s just straight Nesquik sugar milk. It was the perfect ratio of sweet. Definitely coming back. And Hopefully the side dishes can be on the same plane as the coffee one day.

Chill coffee shop with excellent espresso drinks and baked items. Stop in and relax with your espresso and cardamom roll. They are roasting their own beans and doing a good job at it.

Cozy Jackson Cabin vibes in Salem.

Full disclosure: I was a bit worried about some of the early reviews, but my first experience was great! The problem is that folks aren’t appreciating the attention to detail, understated artistry, and cozy mountain vibes.

In a short drive-thru visit, I learned that they procure beans from multiple sources and roast them in-house, which says a lot. The core menu is inventive, with flavor combinations you’ve never experienced at any other coffee shop, let alone here in south Utah County. As someone who’s traveled and experienced coffee in multiple countries and continents, I know I haven’t. I also don’t know of anywhere else serving pastries with one of my favorite warm and cozy spices, cardamom!

But the menu isn’t the only element of artistry to appreciate. Others have mentioned the cozy mountain vibes of the warmly-appointed, cabin-inspired interior design, but I want to mention the precision execution of their identity, branding, and artistry. Their signature “brownscale” color pallet and geometric designs embody the warm, cozy vibes of their overall aesthetic. The holiday cup is no exception, with handsome geometric evergreens and fun Tale of the Christmas Bison. Don’t miss the holiday menu (which does have a pumpkin option). I got the Maple Bar from the holiday menu. As someone who takes their coffee with cream only, I was pleasantly surprised by the perfectly balanced sweetness, which allowed the wonderful, toasty notes of an expertly-pulled shot of espresso to sing.

I’ll address the bison in the room: Yes, their beverage sizes are smaller than Starbucks and Dutch Bros, but they make up for it with their inventive menu of house-made syrups and flavors the chains would never dare to try, let alone be able to produce at scale.

I would love to see their creativity extended to their website (maybe it’s just under maintenance?), with more information about them and an up-to-date menu. And while there may have been merit to the early reviews, it certainly seems they’ve made meaningful improvements from the feedback.

I’m excited to see where they take things from here, and can’t wait to taste my way through the menu!

Behold, real coffee artistry in Salem!

What an adorable coffee shop with excellent lattes! I haven’t been here once where I’ve been disappointed with the flavor of my latte. The “Smoking Wagon” is my absolute favorite! Their “White Bison” is also delicious, and I’ve been told that their “Stranded Matcha” is good (I’m not a matcha person). And of course their seasonal Spiced Pumpkin Latte is delicious (not overwhelming with pumpkin flavor like other places, it’s perfect).
Their Swedish Cinnamon Rolls are sooo yummy, they’re not overly sweet but it hits the spot with the latte.

Their Scarlett Lady Bagel is also good if you want something savory to eat.

Their staff is always super friendly!!

We finally made it out to try this place, and it did not disappoint. Every time I try somewhere new I always just get a cortado or plain latte to test the quality of the coffee. This stuff is legit, and the owner just told me they started roasting their own beans so bonus points for that. The atmosphere is super cool and fits the vibe for Salem, and the staff was really friendly as well. We don’t make it to that area often, but every time we do we’ll be stopping by.
