The total price didn’t seem to add up to what I ordered. They didn’t offer a receipt. I had to ask them to print one. Upon inspecting the receipt, they tacked on $1.80 of fry sauce that I didn’t ask for. That was odd. If you’re going to charge the customer $1.80 for fry sauce, the customer ought to consent to that. They shouldn’t just tack it on. They did reimburse me for that. I did enjoy the food. I just wasn’t expecting an odd exchange over $1.80 of fry sauce that I didn’t ask for.

I was in Salem for my son’s soccer game and had been working all day, so I was looking for a quick bite to eat. I stopped by Stan’s and was offered a sample of the chicken curry, which was tasty and convinced me to order. I went through the drive-up window and placed my order without asking about the price. When I got the bill, I was surprised to see it totaled $25 for just the curry and a root beer. While the food was good, I couldn’t help but feel that the price was a bit steep for what I got.

Came here after a school thing, food is good, service is good and fast. I ordered the stan burger on a whim due to the fact that I like to try the house burger of everywhere I go, I has mushroom and ham and I usually despise mushroom and ham but I found it to be absolutely Devine. Beyond that the root beer they serve is really good I drank up my first cup immediately. The fries they serve are very good, the perfect balance between a crispy outside and a nice soft inside. The fry sauce is also really good, it had a hint of something I'm not quite sure what but it really enhanced the flavor of it. All in all if you're in the area I'd have to say Stan's Drive-In is a must visit if you like good wholesome American food.
Post script: My mother also went here earlier in the day when she dropped me off at the school thing and she said she got onion rings and a burger and that putting the onion rings on the burger was positively kino.

Crispy bacon was delicious on the bacon cheeseburger. Fries were seasoned very well and not too salty. Great place for a burger and fries, 9/10 will visit again! Fun to visit the birthplace of Fry Sauce in Utah!

This is my all time favorite burger place, it has such a charm to it. The food is delicious and their fry sauce is the best you can get! Highly recommend!

This restaurant is run by a very kind couple. The food is really good, served hot and tasty! My wife and I have enjoyed the chicken tikka masala several times, as well as shakes and tator tots. Definitely food and service worth returning too! :-)

We love coming to Stan’s Diner to support Deepo and Ash, the awesome couple who run this restaurant. Deepo is so sweet and we enjoy talking with her and her husband.
The dining area is a bit older but clean.
Their chicken masala is SO good! We have found the one order is enough food for two people, but that if we order one each, we have leftovers for two days!

So clean and a great history. Ash & Depot are wonderful hosts, Great burgers, fried and chicken Tikka masala. Best naan I've ever had!
