Waited in line for 40 minutes. So understaffed.

What is the point of ordering online, if it takes you 40 min to get your food after the time on your receipt said it would be ready. It would have been faster for me to have stood in line at the restaurant than try to be smarter by ordering online. You should have dedicated staff to online orders and maybe be more realistic in the time your food will really be ready. Since I would have gone somewhere else if I knew it would have taken that long. Staff were not very engaging and asked me not to be upset because they were busy. So that is a company problem. Not staff when you do not have it set up to function better for online orders.

I will start by saying the wait staff was awesome. The manager Shy, on the other hand was a disgrace. She was an absolute slob. Using her disgusting apron to handle people's food. Was a raunchy, very terrible mannered person. Seemed put out of her way to even start our order. Every table was dirty. The one table that was even remotely clean smelled like a sour wash cloth to the point I lost my appetite. I then watched her text and sip soda by the soda machine while she watched everyone else working. Just her attitude was so appalling I would suggest driving the extra 5 miles to visit a different location. I encourage her entire staff to leave and work at a different location or company. Absolute worst customer experience at a Cafe Rio I have ever had. If Cafe Rio was smart they would terminate her immediately based on my 1 visit alone. Even if I received a full refund I would still post the same review. Not to mention they say the reviews matter and someone will review them and reach out. They absolute don't matter to them. It has been 5 days. I spent $60 on 3 meals and they haven't responded or reached out whatsoever. Just the automated response to my review. Please do not support this location.

The food is great. I would recommend ordering takeout, however, because it is super crowded in there. What you order can get mixed up. I have found that they are more likely to screw up on your order if you start ordering different small extra things such as extra cheese and less meat, for instance.Even with the sometimes wonky service, they are very kind and understanding, and the food is super good.Also, the horchada is definitely worth getting ????????.Parking: Because this is right next to a harmons grocery store, there is very good space.

It was Presidents Day and the restaurant was busy. The serving size was smaller than usual. One employee told me they ran out of food yesterday so I am thinking they were skeptical. Lots of people means some mess on floors but there was only one person in charge of cleaning, trash, etc.

Ordered pick up and am still waiting 45 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. Ridicunkulous. This better be the best damn Rio to have to wait this long. Signed - Unhappy Customer.

We used to really like Cafe Rio but ever since the one in Santa Clara opened the quality has dropped if you try to place a online order you are better off walking to the restaurant ordering there and walking back and still being faster than ordering online it also always seems like they are running out of basic items during what would be the start of the dinner rush

I made a pickup order with 2 burritos, due at 6pm. Come 6:20, I had cancelled my order for two reasons. 1) The employee working on the takeout orders was chewing gum with an open mouth. No way in hell was I going to eat spat on food. 2) Someone else had mentioned their order was due 5:50 and they were only just starting on it because she checked in on it.I understand today is President's Day weekend, and that's in part the reason for the tardiness, but people in line were getting their orders faster than us. Also, the open mouth chewing is unacceptable. It is the cleanest Cafe Rio I've been in, though.

Our order was to be ready at 12:50p. Arriving on time I found a large bag of food waiting to be picked up, but did not have our name on it. After trying to catch someone's attention and many others received their orders, they said there was no order with that name. Upon insistance, they found that it had been filled much earlier. Upon further insistance, they decided that the original bag on the shelf was our food, but with the wrong name on it. We were then allowed to take our cold food and was given a free drink for our trouble. This process took 25 minutes to finally work out and the food was cold.
