Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

This place has gone downhill, I used to love eating here but something has changed. The food doesn’t taste fresh & they have really started to skimp on the meat, like very small portions. Who wants a giant bowl of lettuce? My house dressing tasted like pure mayonnaise and I couldn’t even finish the salad. Left there disappointed and not wanting to return.

Great food! This and costa Vida are super similar. They have good tortillas, sweet pork, and cilantro ranch. I would highly recommend a salad. Give it a try.

Ordered a pork salad w/ extra pork….literally no meat on the salad whatsoever……..not average amount, not a little bit……absolutely none. You can’t exactly go through your salad in the drive through and check to see if they added meat. 🤦🏽‍♂️ usually pretty good and pretty consistent. Maybe next time.

If you order at this location use the drive thru I swear that’s the only way they’ll get your order correct. My husband and I have come here many times and every single time we order inside they get something wrong! For example we went in to order as we get lunch for my parents occasionally and prefer not to block the drive thru with large orders at most places. And we always make sure to speak loud and very clearly as restaurants can be loud. But for some reason they always mess up they’ve messed up quesadillas inside when we’ve had zero issues with the drive thru where it can be harder to hear/ understand. Today was by far the most frustrating I asked for a large fountain drink and instead of handing me the cup they gave me a cup of house dressing? And when I tried to correct the woman she gave me a dirty look and got the manager who also gave me an incredibly dirty look after handing me cash change. Never got the soda btw just wanted out of an incredibly rude situation.

I really love the Grilled Chicken Salad at Cafe Rio. I always order on the app and my order is ready to go when I get there. My only complaint is a small one, but it drives me crazy! In the app, it gives me the choice if I want shredded lettuce or chopped lettuce. I prefer the chopped lettuce, because the shredded lettuce is like toothpick lettuce and it gets stuck in my teeth. But sometimes, even though I always choose chopped lettuce, they will put shredded lettuce in my salad. No taste difference, just an annoyance for me when I'm eating! I just don't like picking it out of my teeth.

The drive through takes so long. If you gonna go here it’ll be way faster to go inside.
I also think there should be more variety’s of toppings.

Online buyer beware!!
I ordered online. When I have showed up in the past to pick up order. They have given VERY small portions.
So this time I watched them make the same order for dinning room. Theirs was large and salad bowl was full. When I looked at mine, another major difference. I asked to make it like the same as the one on the counter. They looked at me completely confused. It took 2 servers to fix the issue. I wish they would not take advantage of the online order customers like this.

This cafe rio had no sauce (red or green) to complete burrito as ordered. Evidently, no more in stock. Also, the order area needs to be cleaned.
The order signs hanging over counter are very dusty. Not a good look! Staff is very nice, though.

Every time I’m here for a pickup order I’m waiting a minimum of 20-30 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready. At least 3-4 staff are just sitting there talking and laughing doing nothing

I used to order DoorDash Cafe Rio’s pulled pork salad regularly. Lately there is maybe 1 or 2 tablespoons of meat. It’s all rice and lettuce. Will not be ordering from here again.

I feel like the cleansing needs to be better! I got food poisoning 2 hours after eating the sweet pork salad.🤢

Good food. Great discounts. The app. Is wonderful! It's fairly quiet n easy to talk, but the chairs are noisy when ppl slide them on the tile floor.
