Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

Had a family party catered. Although everything was great, when we got the food home, we noticed when we was putting the food out they didn’t give us our(2) extra rice that we ordered. It wasn’t a deal breaker to not give 5 stars cause it was easy, fast and delicious we just had to tell everyone to just take little bit of rice so everyone can enjoy it. It was my fault for not checking before I left.

Watching the tall skinny boy be insubordinate to his boss over making horchata was inappropriate. This young man needs to learn how to follow instructions.

Bring back the Elotes!!!

We have always loved and enjoyed Cafe Rio’s food, but one thing that makes it so amazing to us, is the amazing staff. They are all so kind and generous, and recently their manger saw me and my cousins sitting at a table (my cousins without food). He was so thoughtful and decided to bring each of them out a plate of food. My cousins were so touched and it was so amazing to see him thinking about his customers like that. Please give Cafe Rio a try guys! The people and the food are amazing! You won’t be disappointed!

Just picked up our order and it was bad. No lettuce, missing items, the whole nine. I love cafe rio but they have been falling off, esp this location.

What is happening at this site? I've had several orders be very wrong over the past couple of months. I ask for double rice--I get no rice. I ask for shredded lettuce--I get no lettuce. I ask for cheese enchiladas--I get meat. This place used to know what it was doing.

Do not go if Demetri is working, unless you know exactly what you want. Ever seen the episode of Seinfeld with the soup naz? That’s him. I’ve never felt so rushed and there was nobody even behind me. Like dang, let me take a look at the condiments for atleast 3 seconds. Then everything is heightened the lady is asking for my card but they haven’t gotten my full order yet, my kids meal was comin through the oven thing and still needed to be added to the bill, and just ugghhh. Terrible atmosphere terrible customer service (cause there confused cause he’s just slapping stuff together, tellin customers to hurry) yeah no thanks.

How about not filling all your online orders before helping people that actually showed up to your restaurant. And maybe just maybe cook your meat before sending it out. It wasn't under cooked, it was strait up raw

Just visited Spanish fork location and I literally cannot believe how gross it was. The chicken tasted like it was cooked this morning and was hard as hell. They didn’t melt the cheese on my tortilla for my salad. I had a pick up set for 5:00 and it wasn’t ready until 5:10. Not a huge deal but when I drove half way home I realized they forgot to pack my queso which is so annoying I had to drive back to grab it. Lastly- For the love. Can cafe Rio please bring back its old house ranch. The new one literally tastes aweful. I think we are done with cafe Rio! It’s just gone so down hill.

I’ve really tried to like this place because I love the Cafe Rio up in Orem but I live closer to this one. The last three times my wife and I had come to this location (more than an hour before close) they’ve been out of the food we wanted to order. One time I placed an online order and was told my food was ready. I drove roughly 10 min to the restaurant only to have to wait 45 minutes to get my food. I previously left a 1 star review but took it down because I thought that was maybe too harsh after one bad experience. After three though I’m sorry to say I won’t be coming back anytime soon. The second star is for the staff who were very kind and apologetic, but the management needs to be improved. Why stay open so late if you always run out of food two hours before close? We went to Costa Vida instead 10 minutes before close and they threw steak on the grill just for us and asked us how we wanted it cooked. They even offered to let us eat in the lobby but we didn’t want to keep them there after close so we took it to go. Polar opposite experiences.

I literally had to cut the lettuce myself🫠. They didn’t have guacamole, they didn’t have chicken.

Expected prices to go up like everywhere else but at least don’t pull shrinkflation if we’re paying more. Guacamole isn’t fresh which was disappointing. Not sure if it was a bad night or if the location has gone down hill.

This Spanish Fork location is better than Springville. Spanish Fork Cafe Rio's portions are bigger and more generous. We drive by the Springville location to come to this Spanish Fork location.
