Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

This place hit the spot. We were returning back home from a road trip. We were starving. We got there at a perfect time when no one was there. The food was served quickly. The staff were all friendly and we left very satisfied. I highly recommend.

Not sure what’s been happening at this place lately. I ordered 3 tacos and they put on this much meat in each one?? Is this the new cafe rio? Whoever was working on Sunday night , the 25th of May, needs to get checked out. Make it make sense..

I had a great experience here! The Peruvian guy who took our order was very kind and helpful. He even taught us how to use the app to get points for our food and gave us a free quesadilla. My favorite cafe Rio location so far!

On May 17, 2025 I placed an order online I was headed home tired after a busy day and just needed some comfort food. Normally I have been ordering at the Orem Cafe Rio and it’s always amazing, however this night I thought I’d give Spanish Fork another try and I shouldn’t have! When I got home my order was wrong and I couldn’t even eat it! I could tell it had beans in it which I ordered it without so as I peeled back the tortilla I could see them everywhere and in the half I opened up there was also no chicken. How hard is it to get one meal right? It’s printed out plainly for them to read because they give you the order slip that the server “should read” as they are making it. On this order I did use the points I had earned but it still all adds up! I’m really tired of throwing money away at this location only to be disappointed in the outcome!!

This is a decent Cafe Rio, but it is so annoying that even though I specify melted cheese on the tortilla for my salads, they failed to do so on all 3 salads. This used to be the norm at Cafe Rio, and now they act like it’s an outlandish request. Without it, the tortilla is all soggy and you don’t notice until you’re home with your food and a soggy tortilla. Get it together.

Not super impressed with the management. The employees are moving extremely slow. I’ve been disappointed the last couple of time we’ve ordered from here. The food has been low quality. And on top of all that, I watched the lady preparing my food. Walk into the bathroom with her apron on and then walk back out and start working on my food again. That is absolutely disgusting. And, I got home and the forgot a good portion of my food. I’m tired of getting ripped off money! This is ridiculous.

Have made multiple orders at this location (SpanishFork, UT). Tonight we placed an online order. The app said it was ready. We showed up and they said they were out of shrimp and offered a replacement item. We said just refund the shrimp tacos and we will take the rest. Did not want to wait (why we ordered online). They then said we don't know how to refund so we are making more shrimp... if this was an option why not do that anyway? Wife's food getting cold while we wai. Ordered over 45 minutes ago, sitting here 20+ minutes later and sill waiting (glad nobody enforces the 15 min parking). We love cafe rio but this locations tends to mess up a lot of orders. I watched them have to remake another customer's order 3 times because she asked for no cheese for a lactose intolerant family member. The same person made all 3 meals??? Unacceptable- Do better Cafe Rio!

Expert tip - Add tres leches for take home to enjoy before bedtime, it's yummy yummy 😋

I ordered a door dash delivery for me and 4 of my kids. The nachos my son ordered did not come with the delivery. When I took my receipt to the restaurant to get the nachos, I waited a good 8-10 minutes just to be helped with barely anyone else there. They filled order after order without telling me if they were getting mine. I waited another 15 minutes for anyone to come to me again and ask how they could help. Then they got the nachos to me promptly. The lack of service was very frustrating.

Went there today and witnessed them putting the things they put the food in on top of the tortillas and gave it to me, so unsanitary and one of the workers wasn’t very nice when the guy in front of me asked for a different tortilla because they had set things on top of the one the worker was trying to give us. Also they don’t give you very much meat and charge pretty ridiculous prices for so little meat.

For sure the kindest people work here. We ordered online and when you pick up they are so kind. Thank you

Asked for cheese on top usually it’s the white cheese maybe they were out but why is it on the side?

It was really good tasty and came here for my birthday 🎂 and i got the drink called horcata it was very tasty also God 😋 i got Tostada It was very delicious and tasty They got my order correct I enjoyed being here

The food was fresh and the online ordering worked really well. The pork has kept me going back for over 20 years.
