Great food with jalapeno sauce on the side so you could adjust the heat.

We have been wanting to try this place for awhile now and it did not disappoint!! Chips and salsa were great, we loved the queso as well. I got the chimi lovers (with queso on the side because I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish it all there) and my husband got the verde enchiladas. He said they were delicious! Our kids liked the chicken nuggets and fries (my son is a chicken nugget connoisseur and he said they were some of the best he’s ever had) service was great- very attentive and quick! Would definitely come back!

SO good! Everything looks so amazing, we tried the fajitas though and it was amazing and plenty of food. The chips, guac, and salsa are great. Our server was also a chill guy who was super funny. Would highly recommend and make the trip an hour down.

Great guacamole and fajitas, but orders may get messed up.

Our family of 4 visited Totonacos Mexican Grill for dinner in August 2024. Reviews were good and we stopped by. Chips with salsa came right away and were really good. We ordered guacamole and fish ceviche for appetizers and fajitas for entrees.

Guacamole - was indeed freshly made upon our order, as advertised by our water, and we could feel it. It was perfect how guacamole should be!

Ceviche - unfortunately this was one of the worst ceviches I ever tried. It was made of cheap tilapia with its fishy smell had very little to do with proper ceviche.

Fajita with steak and chicken - excellent!

Pineapple Fajita - very tasty and nicely presented in an actual pineapple!

Fajita Caribena - this one was unfortunately badly messed up. I asked not add shrimps as I don't eat shellfish. Fine, it came with no shrimp. When I started eating it though I found pieces of chorizo sausage along with other meats! I don't eat pork, the sausage was on the dish description in the menu, and our waiter confirmed there weren't supposed be any sausage in that fajita. This was completely unacceptable and disappointing! The dish was ruined for me. And the fish on top was also cheap tilapia.

Unfortunately, we can hardly recommend this restaurant though it had some good dishes.

The food was excellent! Our waitress was very helpful when she learned it was our first time there, she was quick to give suggestions and was very nice. The atmosphere was about what you'd expect for a Mexican place. The location just feels a little out of place for any restaurant because it's very industrial.

Kid-friendliness: The kids menu is pretty sparse. Just 3 choices and only 1 is actually Mexican food. If you have multiple kids, you may want to get an adult plate for them to share.

This is one of the nicest places I have been to in spanish fork, and I think some of the other mexican food places should be worried, in some ways.

First lets look at the location/interior. I have been eating at this location for nearly 20 years. The old sandwich place (before it was sold) was fantastic, but I dwell in the past. There is so little on this side of the freeway, that it is great to have something in the area.
The building has been nearly completely redone. The old bakery, the enclosed veranda, flooring, etc. There area few old decorations from the sandwich shop, but for the most part it has been completely redone. Kudos for all your hard work.

The people were great. We showed up with about 18 people. We were unannounced and just popped in. We had another employee that was leaving and wanted to celebrate. The employees bent over backwards to make things work for us. They were great to deal with, and sometimes we get employees that grumble when large groups show up, this one did not.

The food was done fast, really fast and was really well done. We have people ordering dinners, lunch, misc items. It all came out at the same time, and was well presented. They did take the time to explain that some ordered dinner and others lunch, so take account that the portions were smaller in the lunch menus. Just so we did not get caught off guard.

I ordered the Chimichanga. I love them, and there is a standard style to them. I don't think this met what I expected, but more on that in a second. It had more flavor that most places I have been to in a long
time.

Now I come to the good and the bad of the location. Whether or not this is for you will really have to do on what you are looking for. If you are looking for bulk food, cheap prices, and getting out fast, then you should heat to betos, or someplace similar. If you want bulk food, in a restaurant setting but low quality, I would also say that you should go somewhere else.
This location will not give you a ton of food, but it will give you great service and great taste. My chimi was tiny compared to most, but the flavor was great.

Basically if you want a lot of food, lots of leftovers, this will be a 4 star place for you. If you are there for smaller amounts, but more flavor/taste, this will fall into a 5 star. Just know what you want before you go there.

We are from Texas and we're home sick for some real Tex- Mex food. Found this place on Google maps and OMG it was great! The fajitas for two we're amazing and the portions were Texas size! Highly recommend this place if you want really good Mexican food with good chips and salsa! Great atmosphere as well as great service!

We’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times and have liked the service and the food everytime. Their homemade salsa tastes very fresh. Pictured is the Burrito Colorado and the Mountain Chicken. The white cheese sauce that they put on a lot of their entrees and use for the queso is soooo good! We will keep coming back!

Not your every day Mexican food - Totonacos has unique takes on traditional Mexican food. I highly recommend the Pineapple Fajitas and have your camera ready when they bring the flaming plate out to you. The service was great and they were accommodating to a group of 8 with no problem.
