Off season visit (end of Jan 2026) so probably just an off night. We each ordered the filets. Medium rare. Mine was medium and my husband's was medium well +. It was about 45 mins before the 9 pm closing so nothing was said. My husband had about 2 bites. It was viable or sever took notice but never asked if everything was okay. We also ordered the cream corn which can out Luke warm. Very disappointed and probably will not try here a 2nd time. There are several other choices even in the ofc season.

Really enjoyable dinner and ambience. Delicious food, especially good beet salad, filet and the house steak sauce!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner and we loved it. We had the 11 oz filet, Trout and Mac and cheese. The filet was cooked perfectly. The trout was amazing and was our favorite dish. It already came with Brussels sprouts and sweet potato and was absolutely delicious. Honestly, we didn't care for the Mac and cheese and felt like it needed a little more flavor, but everything else was great. We also had this caramelized banana with banana bread and vanilla ice cream and my girlfriend and I devoured it within minutes! The price for a glass of wine was definitely reasonable for a fancier establishment like this. We also received great service from Amber!

We had a great dinner and even better service. Our server, JT, was knowledgeable and very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Waiter was great; he had to make up for untrained host & bus staff. Food great. Ambience meh—over lit, diner-type light on table, not great linens/settings. The hosts sat us at a uncleared table rather than simply asking us to wait, prepare properly and then seat us. For the price point, we expected more.

Unfortunately it did not live up to the ratings of other guests. We made reservations well in advance and yet we had to wait over 20 minutes to get seated. It took another 25 minutes before we had any drinks on our table and we had to return one cocktail because it was not good at all. Our calamari was super salty to the point no one at the table was able to eat. They brought out another calamari plate but it was bland as all can (or my taste buds were fried from the first one). The entrees were good but I ordered my steak medium and it came out medium rare. I didn't mind it but given the rest of the night it was disappointing. I felt bad for our waiter who on all reality had too much on his plate. He had a very large party to wait on top of four additional tables. Too much to handle.

It's a very nice place but Switchback claims to be a steakhouse and their prices match that, but my New York Strip was nothing special.

Exceeded expectations, steaks were done exactly how we ordered, our server JT gave the best service I think we’ve ever received.

We had a bad experience when we went for my husband's birthday. Firstly, we were told there were no tables and that we would have to sit at the bar even though the place was empty. At the bar, there was a very strong fish smell which was really off putting. We decided we couldn't eat sitting in that smell so asked again for a table as there were so many free ones and we were then shown to a table. The place didn't fill up the whole time we were there so it's not like they were busy at all. It was the very end of the season. Then, the service wasn't as expected. We both ordered starters and mains, but my husbands starter came so ahead of mine that he had finished, and the plate was cleared before mine came. And then about 2 minutes later our mains came so I had both dishes at the same time. My husband ordered steak but had to ask 3 times for a steak knife which eventually came about 10 minutes later. We wouldn't go back.

We had a very disappointing experience at Switchback Steakhouse. Our server took our order and then disappeared — we didn’t see them again until it was time to flag someone down for the bill. My son’s steak was completely forgotten, and when it finally came out, it was raw even though he ordered it well done. The manager eventually stepped in to help, but by that point, my husband and son had to eat separately.

My cauliflower steak was served cold, and if I had waited for it to be reheated, we would have all been eating at different times, so I just sent it back. It really felt like we were overlooked and treated as an inconvenience, possibly because we didn’t order alcoholic drinks or appetizers.

We spent almost $200 for two 8oz steaks, which would be fine if the food and service matched the price point — but they didn’t. I’ve dined at many fine steakhouses, and this place felt like it was trying to be upscale but couldn’t deliver on the basics: timely service, properly cooked food, and a sense of hospitality.

Overall, I do not recommend dining here. Very disappointed.

During our visit to Zion, we had a great dinner at Switchback. This is an upscale steak restaurant, but patrons dress casually as you would expect in the Zions area. Food and service were excellent. I had a NY steak which was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. House red was good and reasonably priced. Desserts were delicious and ample. Would definitely dine here again.

I had dinner at the Switchback Grille. Very impressive decor, great food and service. I had a half Caesar salad which was okay, followed by an excellent flank steak and baked potato. The best I've had in a long time. First, a Manhattan and with dinner, the house cabernet sauvignon, both very good.

Food was good but very overpriced. Everything was a la carte including bread with dinner.

It was a birthday celebration, and we went early we waited 30 minutes for our cocktail then 30 minutes for our salad course. The waitress forgot to put our salad order in, so another wait. When the Entrée arrived, it was cold. We were never offered a birthday dessert, as they knew it was both of our birthdays. If we had had better service, the food is the best you will get in Springdale.
