This is now called Birdies Cafe. I’ve been here twice in the past few weeks. The sandwiches are good but the fries are way undercooked. Service is slow and don’t bank on getting extras any time soon. We asked for ketchup, mustard and fry sauce after our food was delivered and it never came until we asked 10 minutes later.

My steak was good. They went out of their way to accommodate my specific dietary needs.

never thought i’d be giving this place one star. with the situation i had this morning, i feel like i have to share. the old lady with orange hair was very very mean. she said some mean things that made everyone feel uncomfortable. we were celebrating a special occasion, and made plans before hand so we could all eat together as a large family group. if you’re thinking of going there with your family, don’t. they apparently aren’t prepared. waitresses very nice though. the old karen lady with orange hair hurt my feelings :( don’t wish to see her again so i won’t be coming back.

My family and I planned a weekend trip to come down to Palisade Lake and eat at the Lakeside Grill for breakfast the following morning. Earlier in the morning, my dad went in and reserved a table for 10 people. We were very hungry and excited to eat there. I’ve eaten there before and had a pleasant experience. When we walked in, an older lady sitting at the table facing the entrance looked up from a giant book she was writing in with a face of just absolute disgust. She had dim orange short hair. She kept saying things like, “Ugg! You made a reservation right?!” And “Who did you talk to?!” My aunt mentioned it might have been a man but the old Karen lady snapped and said, “We don’t have a man working here.” Like we had lied about reserving a place here. She turned to the girl working and said loudly, “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME THERE WERE GOING TO BE THIS MANY PEOPLE!!!??” Bless that sweet girls heart. “GREAT! Well, I don’t know if there’s going to be enough eggs now!!!!!!” It was extremely uncomfortable for everyone evolved. We felt really bad. Although we HAD made a reservation earlier that morning. I understand there was some miscommunication, but the way that older lady, who will I’ll call Karen from now on, acted was very disrespectful, and hurt our feelings. My grandma loves Manti and we were celebrating her birthday and she felt so bad and wanted to leave ASAP. Bless. We left shortly after, feeling very upset and embarrassed. Denny’s in Nephi here we come! Hopefully they’ll have enough eggs! If they don’t, hopefully they won’t throw a fit about it and blame everyone around them!!!

My father in law went in early and made a reservation for our group and when we got there this old lady looked up from the table she was sitting at with disgust when we told her that we made a reservation, but she didn’t know and asked who we talked to and we didn’t know cause my father in law was parking the car. The restaurant was empty first of all so shouldn’t have been an issue but the lady then turns to young waitress who said that my father in law talked to her and then the old lady angrily says to her, “I don’t even know if we have enough eggs for these people!” The waitress was apologetic about it all saying there was some miscommunication about the reservation, but even if we hadn’t have made a reservation it shouldn’t have been an issue because no one was there. Our group was about 10 people but the restaurant seats close to 50-60. So if they don’t have enough eggs for 10 people for breakfast in the morning then why do they have seating for 60?!? Chairs and tables were not clean either by the way. There was no welcome from the old lady or anything and it was embarrassing for her to freak out about actually getting business. We left because it was so awkward to sit there with the old lady fuming over something you would think she would be prepared for. And it was our Granny’s birthday and she loves Manti and Palisade Lake so hopefully Denny’s has eggs and can have some hospitality.

Pretty good food, the owner is a domestic goddess, the kitchen workers are pretty cute too but not good at singing. That keisel girl waitressing is kinda silly she didn’t know what time they opened at

Service was amazingly fast and courteous. They have a wide variety on the dinner menu that also includes the lunch items, definitely something for everyone in our group of 4. The food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. The fries are hand made curly potatoes, yummy! Their house salad dressing was a refreshingly tasty poppy seed vinaigrette. Definitely recommend.
