This woman is so rude and disrespectful she can't even answer questions, plus she's always talking on the phone or watching movies to the point where she forgot that you standing right in front of her, the husband is a real nice man the his wife need to learn customer service,you can't treat people like that and expect them to come back never again

Every time I go in there when the woman is behind the counter she has very poor customer service. She talks on her phone and doesn’t even acknowledge me in her store. I hate to feel that it’s because I’m an American black woman but!! I find it hard, not to notice that she greeted some other people that were African. And that is not the first time I’ve been going to the store for years. She just points to the cash register at how much it is. Doesn’t say anything she continues her conversation on the phone. No hello, no thank you, no goodbyes. She has very poor customer service just flat out rude. Sadly I go to the store because it’s the closest one to my house. I love to see when her husband is there because he is very kind and has great customer service.

Service was great as expected! Be curious and engage the owner for other foodies they may have in the back. Was able to find some sweet potatoes my father-in-law was craving for. Prices are not bad. Favorite item remains the spinach and turkey and plantains and fufu and frozen fish, I mean, be curious and leave happier.

Many small cultural markets have like, 17 things on their shelves.Kabir stocks more items from Europe than most African markets has from Africa.The only thing I ever find to be overpriced is the Moroccan Pamplemousse drink that makes you feel “fresh, heard, and special” or something awesome! I never felt heard by my Moroccan grapefruit soda, so there’s that…Kabir is a total dude, as well! I challenge ANYONE to not like him every second you spend in his small business!You and I go way back, and so just trust me on this one. Check African Boutique sooner than later, and try the Barbican from Holland!!
This woman has zero customer service experience. She is rude and has a bad attitude towards people coming in and buying their stuff, I don’t get it. You can’t even ask a question without her giving a snarky comment or tone. I want to support my fellow Africans but come on, it’s always a bad shopping experience when she’s there.
