Mokis use to be the spot I recommend to everyone for a taste of polynesian food but I feel like they've brought up their prices but brought down the quality of their food. Katsu chicken was a thin piece of chicken breaded and fried rather than the juicey piece I expected. Terriyaki was good and not chewy so a plus. Service definitely declined, missing that poly inviting vibe. Was disappointed when I heard a friend say she rather go to Mo'bettah because I had hyped this place up from my experience with them years ago. I understand cost of everything has gone up but give us something that says you're worth every dollar and not go to your competition because I hate supporting chain restaurants.

I should have snapped a photo of the food as well but I was so eager to just cut right into my teriyaki chicken with the seasoned rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. There were a bunch of other people there when I arrived and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I'm glad I went in to dine. Had the katsu chicken and kalua pork plate with macaroni salad. For $19 there's better value out there, but the food is awesome and the dining area has great booths. Highly recommend the macaroni

I personally prefer Island Grinds.... but it tastes good, what I didn't like was the texture of the rice.... they treat you very well and it's a nice place where you feel relaxed. The price is very high, at Island Grinds they serve you a lot for a slightly lower price and it tastes better.... but I would return here because it tastes good.

Listen me being from Hawaii and am missing that good authentic Hawaiian food. Moki’s is the place to go. I got a 2 meat plate with kalua pig and chicken katsu. The katsu could be a little bit more flavorful but all in all it was still good. And the lau lau was to die for. Definitely recommend this place if you want some real authentic Hawaiian food. This place is better than Mo bettas
