Pretty small restaurant, the customer service we got was not bad at all.
The food however was not anything to write home about unfortunately. We paid a lot for not a lot of food- including a basic California roll that was coming completely unraveled except for 2 of the pieces. The shrimp fried rice was bland with undercooked veggies. Vegas roll was uninspiring. The salmon sashimi was hands down the best thing of the night.
High prices for the quality in my opinion- definitely not the worst I've had, but I know of restaurants nearly half the price and about double the quality.
Side note the bathroom was essentially falling apart. No toilet paper and the sink was literally rotting out.

Make sure you go in and sit down as their pricing is up to 50% off in store. Many rolls available for $5-7 making it very affordable. Loved the sushi we get each time!

This was my first time visiting, and ordering was a bit difficult since everything was listed on paper with no pictures. It would be helpful to see what the dishes look like or have some recommendations, but none were provided, so I just guessed which rolls to try. I ordered from the 50% off menu — but if the items were full price, I probably wouldn’t have chosen them. It feels like the discount is mainly to bring people in, even though the prices are basically normal.

I also tried the ramen. I usually have bad experiences with ramen at other places, but it was actually pretty good here. The TNT roll and Air Force roll were also good, but I didn’t really enjoy the eel rolls. There was barely any eel inside and a lot of rice on the outside, including on the TNT and Air Force rolls. Visually, the rolls looked like mostly rice with only a small amount of filling.

I noticed the sushi chefs preparing food in view of guests, but they didn’t seem very welcoming — no smiles, just working through the shift. It would create a much better atmosphere if the chefs greeted customers or showed a bit more hospitality, especially since people come for their sushi, not just the servers.

Overall, the food wasn’t bad, the service was great, and the atmosphere was good as well.

Staff was friendly, the sushi was terrible. The rice was smashed and gummy the fish was warm of poor quality.

Went here for dinner and was told it was a 15-30 minute wait, they wrote down the names of the customers in order. We waited for 45 minutes, then a customer with 6 people comes in and asks for a table, they tell them it’s a 10 minute wait… at this point they had a couple 2 person tables that had opened up and people that had come in with 3/4 people prior to us had been sat, the pairs people that came in after us also were sat, then the person with 6 people that was there for 10 minutes gets sat after we have been there for 55 minutes while we’re still waiting for a table! This place has decent food but their customer service and planning is terrible, they are also very very slow at making and serving food! 2 different customers got up and left due to how long it took to be served while we were there, if we would have continued waiting it would have been a minimum of 2 hours before we possibly received our food after being seated. Definitely could do better!

Their shrimp and vegetables tempura was the only thing good and miso soup. Their salad just had mayonnaise dressing. Their beef teriyaki had no teriyaki sauce…so dry! Not going back there. Rather go to Mo Bettah’s. In fact, I used my left over chicken katsu sauce from Mo Bettah’s on my super dry and blend beef teriyaki! Wasted $30!

Our waitress Dulce was very kind and attentive!
We will definitely be back at least once a week.

Always delicious. Always friendly. Even orders To Go are spot on! Great job! We love eating at Osaka. Also, try the peach gel sake. It’s an experience!

My son and I love sushi! But my wife isn’t a fan. Luckily, Osaka has a great menu beyond sushi. The rice bowls are outstanding! My wife keeps craving them. Which is great for me, cause now I have a sushi spot that she can enjoy too!

We just moved to town and it was my daughters 16th birthday on Wednesday and she wanted sushi. We thought we would give Osaka a shot, and let me tell you we do not regret it. Our waitress was a amazing i didn't catch her name but she had red hair and glasses. We were a bigger party and she was so accommodating, Our drinks were never empty. she answered all our questions with a smile on her face, food did take a little long but she was on top of making sure we knew what was going on. and at the end she gave my daughter and youngest child a birthday ice cream on her. We will be back.

We’ve been ordering from here at least once a week since we moved here in May. We ordered a couple rolls and the udon noodle dish on August 10th 2025 via DoorDash. Well while my husband was eating his udon noodles he found MULTIPLE pieces of what looks like melted plastic or something? I reached out to the restaurant to let them know, she asked me to text her photos so I did, told me she’d get back to me. Never heard anything back, I even texted the next day and the response was “I sent these to my Gm I haven't heard back let me reach back out to her.” Still never heard back almost two weeks later. Very bummed as this was my new go to spot for sushi.

I just moved to Tooele earlier this year and I am so glad there’s a good sushi place in town! We get their 20 piece sashimi and a sunshine roll and it’s always fresh and delicious!
