Be sure to read about the room you plan to book. Some rooms are very limited in amenities and others are very good. The man at the front desk is not friendly or helpful, pretty grumpy. The location is excellent. I've stayed here a couple of times and experiences very different based on the type of room I booked and the grumpy desk man.

Always our go to when we are in the area. Simple but with a great view at a cliff and a good price. It feels homey with the wooden kitchen area in the lobby and the old furniture in the rooms. Easy going. Very clean. Close to the Capitol Reef visitor center. It has a Pizza restaurant, too. All you need on a trip to Capitol Reef or Bentonite Hills. We love the feeling of simple. On the other side of the road is a resort for those who want luxurious... 😉

We stayed at the Patio, above the restaurant. The room was a big, and had all the amenities we needed and wanted. Views from the room were top notch. The location can't be beat if you are trying to explore Capitol Reef. We got some pizza and beer from the restaurant below and it was tasty. Id recommend this place to anyone.

Great little motel about as close as you can get to Capitol Reef National Park. The checkin staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and decorated in a locally inspired way - not generic. The view from both sides is gorgeous. It only takes a few minutes to get to the national park. Lots of good food nearby and easy driving distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, can’t get closer to Capitol Reef. We loved the views and enjoyed little hikes right out our door. Rooms are beautiful. We stayed in a panoramic cabin. Cute coffee mugs was a nice touch. Nice seating area on the porch. We played horseshoes at the restaurant at sunset. So pretty! Coffee at the front desk was actually good&!

It’s a beautiful situation. Glorious! It was worth the price for that reason. However, the hot water tank was so small, only two out of four of us got hot showers, even waiting 45 minutes between. Also, my son left behind a toy. The desk staff had trouble understanding what we told them about the stuffed toy and may or may not have communicated our loss to the cleaning staff. They weren’t helpful or sympathetic and didn’t try to solve the issue at all. The breakfast was pretty sparse, too. There was a choice or a pastry, granola bar, and orange or apple. Tea, coffee, or hot cocoa. It was adequate for the price. Location was the selling point.
We've been staying here at Rim Rock Inn and have their traditional room. I've found it cozy and clean. The view outside is outstanding! The beds are soft, as are the pillows. Sheets are clean, and housekeeping is great! My husband and I have been very comfortable. I really like they have not one, but two restaurant on the property. The Steak House and Pizza restaurants were very nice. Let me tell ya I was impressed with the pizzas! They are really good! They have indoor seating and a great patio area with a stage for live music.

We had a cabin with a fantastic view. Cabin was nicely decorated and furnished, a good heat/ac system that was nearly silent. The on site restaurant is also very good.
