For being in the desert, this place raises the bar compared to other spots in town.
We’ve dined several times, but had a group event there recently, and was blown away by the service and speed.
Pizzas came out hot and fresh, drinks were smooth orders inside, water was always available outside, and the views are stunning. Plus they have bands, fun events, horseshoes to play, and much more.
Fun place for small or large groups. Always a hit!

Laid back little restaurant with outdoor tables for wonderful views of Capital Reef National Park. Great pizza. They have games you can play like horseshoes, disk golf & corn hole. Live music on some evenings.

The food here was ‘eh’ at best with every course. Crawfish cakes not good. No crawfish meat or flavor, salad consisted of spinach only, heavy with stems, ribeye was very poor cut, overcooked (mr), tough and had no outer cap. Only good part of dinner was a hummingbird feeder right outside the window. I would not return. ( This review was written in reference to the hotel restaurant , not the Patio restaurant across from it)

After 10 days of roadtripping through Utah, this was the worst roadside restaurant we’ve eaten at and rudest service—so much so that it was almost funny. When we got our food, we literally laughed. If you order the ravioli, it comes in a skimpy little paper plate with 4 little pieces in a sad little puddle of sauce. The meatball sandwich is also just sad and mediocre. Both dishes taste like they were frozen and re-warmed up. Gosh I wish I had taken photos.
All that would’ve been passable if the waitress hadn’t been so ridiculously rude. When she asked if we wanted anything for dessert, we said, “No thanks, we’re ok—“ “Well, we have apple pie, blah blah blah.” Talked right over us and rolled her eyes at us when we said we already had dessert at the Gifford House in Capitol Reef. It’s hilarious in retrospect but we were dumbfounded in the moment. We also tried to order a soft drink to go and she again interrupted us mid-sentence, “I’LL RING YOU UP” and totally ignored our request until we brought it up a second time. Couldn’t wait to get out. Otherwise, the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and good views. Too bad the food and service are subpar.
We stopped at the Rim Rock Patio after spending the day at Dead Horse State Park and Canyonlands. We had driven to Torrey to stay the night and explore Capitol Reef the next day. Rim Rock Patio was casual and friendly with a fabulous view of Capitol Reef! Enjoying dinner outside with the breathtaking view was what made this place special. The tamales were tasty, the kids enjoyed their spaghetti western, and hubby enjoyed the BBQ brisket sandwich.

Pizza was good. The medium is big. Wife ordered tamales and they never came. Server forgot to put them in with the cook. She never came back to table to check after the food was dropped off. Another couple waited for over an hour for 1 pizza they got as they were leaving. They also asked for a discount since they did not get to eat and were told no. Service is terrible. But food is decent.
