We loved the ambiance and decor of the restaurant. The scenery was beautiful, service was prompt and friendly, and we enjoyed the food as well! We ordered the blackened sirloin and a burger. The sirloin was perfectly cooked to medium rare. The rub was too salty for me so I’d choose the grilled option if I were to pick again. The mashed potatoes were delicious! Creamy but chunky, garlicky, didn’t come with gravy but it didn’t need it. My husband enjoyed the burger - it was tender but a bit crumbly. We LOVED the roasted acorn squash - buttery, brown sugary taste, and nutty. We’d definitely come back!

This place was great. Seemed like it was frequented by locals (the host seemed to know everyone coming in) and us tourists. Good steaks and appetizers, service was fast - a very lively buzz in the place all night. The views are spectacular looking upon Capitol Reef NP. Highly recommend.

Disappointed. Very. So disorganized front of house its embarrassing. Had reservations. Showed up on time. Waited an extra 20 minutes and listened to multiple other couples complain about reservations and then they sat 3 other couples without reservations first. I mentioned to the gentleman seating folks that we waited almost 20 minutes past our time and he said oh, I'll have a table for you shortly. Yeah, not this time. They blew it. Disorganized and upsetting. And, no liquor, so plan accordingly. Could have been so much better. What a missed opportunity.

After a long day of hiking we had a great dinner at Rim Rock. Lovely & accommodating staff & the food was delicious. The pinto beans & chips appetizer was so good! And the seemingly simple side salad was fantastic. Our server, Cherie, was outstanding, giving us great recommendations & proving outstanding service. We would 100% dine here again!

The food and view were excellent. The service was prompt and fitting for the informal atmosphere. The section where we were seated was very dimmly lit after dark. I had to use my phone light to see the menu and spot check the food after it was served. During the day it would have been an amazing view. There was a section in the center of the restaurant that had plenty of light. Overall a good experience. We had the ribeye and trout. Both were very good.
Been going here for 24 yrs as part of a large group of 20+. Great views of Capital Reef. NP. Always set up perfectly at reservation time. Prompt attentive service. Menu for most tastes. Lots of sides to pick from. I get the thick cut bone in pork chop. Excellent. Prices are fair. Does get very busy during summer and fall seasons.

Beautiful views. Two of us had the mixed grill with trout, quail, Buffalo sausage. Highly recommended. Also recommend the smoke trout appetizer. 3 in the party had the rib-eye steak. They thought it was dry and over cooked. That is why this review is a 4 not 5 star.
