When no other place seemed to be open for breakfast, we discovered this little gem, and were amazed by the quality of the food, coffee and friendliness of the staff. Ended up being our default breakfast place for our entire stay in town. We also enjoyed a great dinner with plenty of appetizing selections.

A little mixed on my review. Burger and fries i had for dinner were OK but not worth the price. Breakfast was fantastic and more worth the price however.

After having an absolutely terrible dinner and equally bad breakfast experience at The Rock Garden at Red Sands Hotel where we were staying, we decided we would need to eat somewhere else away from our hotel the next day. We found Capitol Reef Resort and The Pioneer Kitchen. What an awesome find, by the way!

Our dinner at Pioneer Kitchen was DELICIOUS, our server was so kind and helpful, and when we mentioned why we ended up at Pioneer Kitchen the table next to us piped in and said they were eating here due to the same issues with Red Sands that we experienced, and were equally satisfied with the quality and experience at Pioneer Kitchen.

We came back again for breakfast and it was another big hit with me and my travel companion. Our server was so personable and efficient too.

We have seen the error in our way, and will book our stay with Capitol Reef Resort and dine with Pioneer Kitchen when we are back in Torrey.

Thank you Pioneer Kitchen for saving our dining experience in town!!!

After checking in to the Capitol Reef Resort, we decided to get dinner here. Menu is small, but don't let it discourage you, as there are many different tastes to choose from. The food itself was fine, perfect for convenience to the resort but not detour worthy. Service was good along with the view out to the red rocks!

Fantastic breakfast. The home style bacon and country fries were great with omelet and eggs over easy. Not your average motel breakfast

Ordered the Traihead Omelet. The spinach is either canned or frozen spinach, the Swiss cheese was a slice of cheese not heated enough to melt and maybe two mushrooms. The hot water for the tea was lukewarm and I had to flag down my waitress as she never came back to check on me after giving me my food. Service was adequate.

A nice, older hotel restaurant. Being summer, it was not busy. Our waiter, Sean, was super friendly. Our food, pork chop dinner and ribs dinner were good. The water is so good in this area!
