Had the stuffed avocados and the veggie bowl. Both were decent and certainly welcomed as a healthier option after a long day of hiking but man, not much flavor added so I resorted to sprinkling some salt 🧂
We stayed at their hotel so ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Mt husband had a fettuccine and sirloin dinner that was good. I had Nachos that were not so good. Breakfast, the pancakes were thick and dry, and $5 for a cup of coffee, ridiculous. The fruit was delicious. I'd look for other restaurants in town.

There are vegan options but they are not amazing. I had the harvest quinoa bowl. The carrots weren’t cooked but the other vegetables were fine. The avocado was fresh. It was tasty enough.
I ordered beef lasagna, but it was very disappointing. My husband nachos was ok

I had the quinoa bowl and it was delicious! My husband, on the other hand, had the beef lasagna. It was not edible. Something was spoiled in it. Server said the other 2 people that had it earlier said it was delicious. I'm confident had we eaten it, we would have been hugging the toilet all night. All he offered was 10% off, which we should have received anyways for staying in the hotel. Not worth the money!

Need to get more waiters. Our waiter was great but was tending the entire restaurant which affected the service.

Diego omelette was mediocre at best I ordered a ham and cheese omelette they put a slice of Velveeta on top of the Omelette and three pieces of ham somewhere into the egg. The Crepes looked more like corn tortillas and Crepes Edward filled with spray whipping cream and a little bit of fruit.Non of the food was seasoned. The waiter was friendly but the place does not take cash.
Good hotel. Good restaurant
They had large portions and tasted really good. The service was amazing and the location was inside the Red Sands Spa and Hotel.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was fine but the food was atrocious. I can only imagine that the kitchen in this place consists of a freezer and a microwave. Everything we were served was a frozen product, everything came out of a wrapper. As an appetizer we ordered “Chips and jalapeno queso” Which were literally stale Tostitos and cheeze whiz. My daughter and I ordered chicken Cordon Bleu and it was somehow mushy and chewy simultaneously, covered in a gluey jarred alfredo sauce. The wedge potatoes had a stretchy skin with a mealy, mushy inside. I don’t know how you can make vegetables dry and undercooked but they’re figured it out. None of us ate much, my daughter left and went to the Subway up the street.
This disaster of a meal clocked in at $80 bucks for three people.

The staff was great, very kind, quick, and respectful. The food was unique. I am not sure I have had some of those combinations. The food was good.

I didn’t have high expectations for The Rock Garden Eatery but Torrey is a very small town with limited eating options for a vegetarian and they did have a few vegetarian dishes.
I was very pleasantly surprised!!!
Staff were charming and the food excellent.
My hummus was very tasty and served with tons of pitta bread.
My quinoa salad had an excellent dressing and stuffed full of avocado, chopped cucumber, peppers, tomatoes and onions.
Really pleased I gave it a try.

We enjoyed breakfast at the Rock Garden Eatery for the two days that we stayed at the Red Sands Hotel. Service was excellent, although the first day we had to wait longer than we preferred due to a large family table that arrived before us. We were amazed at the enormous portions and shared one breakfast order for the two of us. The attached photo shows ½ of one order.
