Great grub and fun place to go. Staff and service were great. We ate a lot! Live music was pretty good also. Would love to visit in warmer weather when they have stuff going on outside.

Don't bother placing online orders here. Placed an order, arrived 40min later, and they told me it'd be a few more minutes. Then, I got a text that it'd be another 30min, they admitted they hadn't even seen it (because they don't get notifications?), but they'd rush it and it should only be another 10min. I just asked for my money back and left.

This place is great. The staff are super attentive and friendly. The food is really tasty, you can get a good meal with veg. The trout was really good and so was the brisket. Star of the show was the live country music! We had to wait for a table, but there is a a waiting area and/or a fire pit outside- it’s worth it.

So, I’m new to the area and decided to check that local restaurant and as very excited to find some delicious sounding food on their menu, so I got in the car and drove there. The issue started as soon as I walked through the door. No one greeted me, not sure if it’s because I was alone or because I’m black in Utah. I usually don’t jump to that conclusion but it’s hard not to. Maybe a minute of me standing by the door while a man and two girls talk behind the counter, I’m finally greeted and sat. Upon sitting, I waited roughly 20-25 mins before a server came over to me, a Hispanic server and asked if I had been helped. I said no, and thankfully I’m very patient because I kept telling myself five more mins and I’ll just leave. I also point out she Hispanic because literally every other server (white ones) just walked past me without even a second glance. And I don’t usually like to bring race into this but it was clear in this situation. The server was very nice and food was ok but I won’t be coming back because I felt really ignored and hurt and this is the first time this has happened to me in my 30 years of being in this earth. And yes, they did make it blatantly obvious I was not going to be served by serving new tables coming in, and ignoring me

Western-style restaurant on the grounds actually of a hotel (but separate). Good live country music after 6:30P. We went in the fall and thy have a couple heaters but it was chilly because they allow patrons waiting for seats to keep the door open (apparently this is a usual occurrence) and would not ask them to wait outside, so the whole place got pretty chilly as we ate. The food was ok but the service was good. Not sure I’d return but there aren’t a lot of options in the Tropic area.
We stayed in Tropic for our visit to Bryce Canyon. Delicious dinner every night at Showdown’s including live country music each night. Reasonably priced and really friendly service. Depending on Bryce crowds you may need to wait a bit for a table but it’s worth it.
