Made the trip out - it's kind of out of the way. Unfortunately, it's closed until Dec 2. Wish Google would have indicated that
A great distillery tour that was finished off with some even hreater whiskey! My partner had the 101 flight, which is hard to go wrong with, their flagship whiskeys are all very solid! I tried the reserve flight and really loved the Bourye whiskey, it was very smooth and a bit sweet!
Tour and drinks were amazing but the brunch was the most overpriced disgusting thing I’ve ever had! AVOID THE FOOD HERE! I am praying I don’t have food poisoning after that brunch of 65 dollars a person.
I wish I could give this experience 5 stars—honestly, I would have, if we had gone home right after the distillery tour and tasting. That part of the day was absolutely fantastic. Katy was a wonderful guide, the team in the tasting room was friendly and knowledgeable, and of course, the whiskey was top-notch. If I were rating just that portion, it’s an easy 5 stars, no question.
Unfortunately, the experience took a turn at brunch. Everything about it was disappointing. Our server was visibly unhappy to be there and made comments about how overwhelming things get during a new release and how they aren’t paid enough to deal with it. Not exactly the kind of vibe you want when you're trying to enjoy a meal.
Then there were the flies, everywhere. And the food? Awful. Nearly everything we tried was left untouched. It was dry, tasted like it had been sitting out for days, and just completely unappetizing. The only exception? The macaroons they were the one redeeming item on the table.
For a $200 brunch (with just one drink each), it felt like a complete waste. I’m honestly just hoping we don’t end up sick from it.
In summary: distillery tour and tasting, amazing. Brunch…hard pass.
Amazing views, more amazing whiskey.
Since they were bought out it has lost much of its luster. I come every year by default but they are quickly losing the charm it once had.
Great tour and tasting. Dan did a great job
Reserved for a company event and they did an impeccable job from planning and throughout the event. The food was absolutely incredible, and the stuff was very nice. 10/10 recommend!
Dog friendly outdoor patio, and they may allow well-behaved dogs inside during colder weather. Park at the bottom and the shuttle takes you up a narrow road into the hills to the restaurant/distillery buildings. Beautiful facilities and outdoor areas with nice mountain views. Good food/wine for lunch. Great service. Big welcoming outdoor patio that overlooks a Koi pond. Had a flight out there and wound up buying a few bottles. Enjoyed walking the grounds with the dog. Overall a great experience. Worth the drive to get there, and you'll want to budget enough time (and money) to enjoy the place. We were there almost 2 hours and didn't even do a tour. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.
We had a great lunch time here. Food was good, whiskey flights deserve to try, services were amazing. Experiences were unforgettable. We will definitely come back soon.

Great tour and tasting!
Cal did a great job.
High West Distillery is absolutely stunning, and one of our favorite event venues to work with! Our team at Wasatch AV & Productions works frequently with Stacey and her team to provide AV & production services for weddings and other events, and they are always fantastic. We can't recommend them enough!
Disappointed.
Have been here several times, enjoyed all until today. Food was average at best had the chicken Caesar salad dressing wasn’t great - too many croutons. Someone else had pork belly tacos - super fatty and lacked flavor. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Will not be back
My friends and I were visiting from Ohio, and as longtime High West fans (my husband and I even had one of their cask strengths as our wedding drink!), we knew we had to make this a stop on our trip. We booked the Chocolate & Tasting tour, and it was absolutely worth it.
The distillery itself is gorgeous, and the tour was fascinating—so much care, detail, and history behind every step of the process. Our guide, Dan, was fantastic: incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. The tour was already so thorough that I barely had questions left to ask—which is saying something.
The hospitality didn’t stop there. Though I wish I remembered his name, our server was equally friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.
If you’re in Utah, I can’t recommend High West enough. We’ll definitely be back next time, and hopefully with room in our luggage to bring a few bottles home.
Pretentious.
