High West Distillery is absolutely stunning, and one of our favorite event venues to work with! Our team at Wasatch AV & Productions works frequently with Stacey and her team to provide AV & production services for weddings and other events, and they are always fantastic. We can't recommend them enough!
Disappointed.
Have been here several times, enjoyed all until today. Food was average at best had the chicken Caesar salad dressing wasn’t great - too many croutons. Someone else had pork belly tacos - super fatty and lacked flavor. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Will not be back
My friends and I were visiting from Ohio, and as longtime High West fans (my husband and I even had one of their cask strengths as our wedding drink!), we knew we had to make this a stop on our trip. We booked the Chocolate & Tasting tour, and it was absolutely worth it.
The distillery itself is gorgeous, and the tour was fascinating—so much care, detail, and history behind every step of the process. Our guide, Dan, was fantastic: incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. The tour was already so thorough that I barely had questions left to ask—which is saying something.
The hospitality didn’t stop there. Though I wish I remembered his name, our server was equally friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.
If you’re in Utah, I can’t recommend High West enough. We’ll definitely be back next time, and hopefully with room in our luggage to bring a few bottles home.
Pretentious.
The tour was so interesting and educational! Definitely scratches an itch if you have a knack for history, chemistry, and/or drinking. SUCH a beautiful view outside as well.
Loved this!
Dan, from MKE, was the best.
As a Rochester, NY, resident, I was surprised to see that the founding wife’s family came from Rochester Distilling/Duffys malt whiskey, on lake Ave.
Dan was great. He was funny and informative. I’m not an American whisky/burboun drinker, moreover scotch & Irish whisky. High west won me over with campfire and I was in the area so why not?!!
Dan gave me tasting tips that no one, even my beloved Ardbeg, gave me on Islay, and I go every October.
I did the whiskey/chocolate pairing- it was great.
Dan- he was great.
Again, you’re not in Scotland so , adjust your expectations but I was 95% satisfied with this and 100% happy with Dan.
THANK YOU!!
Absolutely incredible venue and location, 10/10 ambiance. The brunch however, was the exact opposite. I’ve had better continental breakfasts at a Days Inn. Everything, literally every bread, egg, meat, potato, bacon, everything tasted and looked like it was made 2 days ago. I was shocked and disappointed. Don’t know if it was an off day or that’s how it always is but I don’t think I’d waste the drive or money for gas station reheated slop.
This place is unreal! Incredibly views, amazing staff, and great food. We did the whiskey and chocolate tasting after the tour and it was absolutely worth it. Our guide was super knowledgeable and it was an amazing experience.
We were there for a wedding - stunning location, great team running it all, fabulous food, perfect weather. Hard to capture the whole set up in a couple of photos (while maintaining the privacy of the bridal group) - so I’d suggest you visit and take it all in!
Beautiful property, very informative tour, great food and drinks.

Food was good! Options were limited and service was very unprofessional. I took my parents to dinner as a treat and the server read the total aloud to the table. I have never experienced that before in my life.
We had a tour of the distillery, and got the library of libations package. It’s basically a cool bar with a great view to have a tasting, we stuck around for lunch and to food was good probably worth going just for the restaurant.
Such an amazing experience from the time you arrive, to you depart. Tess was an amazing ambassador and was very knowledgeable about whiskey!
The ambiance of the loft and restaurant really makes you feel like you are at a family gathering having a great time!
Excellent Tour! Special thanks to Amber and Tess! Thank you
This is a must go if you are visiting Utah! The whiskey is great! They even make an amazing gin! Do the chocolate & whiskey pairing tasting! This is must! Don’t just do the tour pay the extra 5 bucks and get the local chocolate! The eat at the restaurant! It was delicious! Buffalo French Dip is wonderful.
