My wife and I went to the Black Bear Diner during a stop over in Washington Utah on our way to Callfornia. We've done this in the past as part of our trip. The variety of food, the options, the price and the casual atmosphere are good. We've always had good service, and Shayann did just that....her caring personality along with the value we receive for the meal makes our visit well worthwhile. Although the food isn't "gourmet", it is good, plentiful and tasty......an atmosphere of friendliness makes this a good place to come with family or friends.

Portions are substantial but the quality is even better. Omelette cooked perfectly. Spicy sausage patty is delicious. Great biscuit as well. Chicken and waffles are pretty good too. Friendly and attentive service. Fair prices.

We planned my husbands 85th birthday đ and SO many details to worry about! The manager Nancy saved us over and over making suggestions and helping select our menu items for 80 people. Her professionalism and âBlack Bearâ friendliness made all the difference!!! Thank you!!

This is absolutely the best breakfast place around and Andy is the best server weâve had in all of Utah. You get so much food that I couldnât even finish it. The homemade biscuits are so big and fresh and the hash browns are so different and delicious. Highly recommend coming here if youâre in town.

I have never written a review like this, but the experience we had at this restaurant was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. My group and I came in, were seated, and asked for waters. After waiting over 20 minutes, we noticed that the three groups who arrived after us had already been greeted, served drinks, and had their orders takenâwhile we still had nothing.
It wasnât until we made direct eye contact with a server that they finally approached us, and even then, we still had no drinks. Throughout the entire time, the staffâs demeanor toward us was dismissive, unprofessional, and downright rudeâcomplete with eye rolls.
We could not ignore the fact that every other table that was served ahead of us was non-Hispanic, and the way we were treated made it painfully clear that this was not just bad serviceâit was discrimination.
No one should be made to feel unwelcome or lesser because of their ethnicity. This kind of behavior has no place in any business, especially one that serves the public. We will never return, and I strongly urge others to think twice before supporting an establishment that treats people this way.
