Zao Asian Cafe

I have been coming to Zao since they opened. I’ve been to the one in Salt Lake and one in Farmington Several times over the years. When I first went to Bountiful location, it was good, good not as fresh as the others, but they served you a decent amount. I just went to one in Bountiful today. It was the worst, smallest serving of food I have ever received at a restaurant . I ordered the bowl. They’re barely put in 1/2 cup of rice. Like a tablespoon? if that, of the other ingredients. In the past the food was above the bowl and would hit the lid when they covered it. I felt cheated and will never go there again. Maybe that’s why there is never a line there. It used to be real busy. But it is not worth the money now. I would suggest you drive to Farmington or Salt lake just to get a decent serving? What happened here in Boy tofu location? I took photos so the owner could see, but I don’t see a place to upload the photos?

The food, service, and atmosphere is always just as good as it needs to be, which I see no issue with. This is a great restaurant if you're looking for simple, tasty food that won't leave you feeling nasty.

All it takes is 1 rude worker to turn around and leave a buisness. I have always liked this locations but I will never be back. Thanks Zao for all your past times we ate here. Women with glasses that didn't want to be named I won't but should be asked to be a decent worker.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Zao, however, the size and quality has dropped offdramatically. I get that food prices are up and it’s hard to find good help however, for the price you still have to deliver something more than a sidedish as as entree. . For the money this is not a very good value.

Just walked into this place. Was asked to wait. And was left waiting. She even looked at me with the look of "he's still waiting?"
So I walked out. A lone behold. Not a care in the world. Awful awful straight garbage service.
That's enough for me to say to hell with this place.

Since when did Zao become so stingy with their toppings. I had all rice and no toppings despite asking for more. Really disappointed. Even the curry sauce was minimal.

The employees were friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the noodles with broccoli, corn, carrots, cilantro, peanuts, steak, cucumbers, and teriyaki sauce. My dad ordered the pot stickers, and they had a nice crunch to them, and the sauce they put on them was very flavorful. This location is my favorite Zao now! Can't wait to return.

Nope. I've been to other Zao locations and the food touches the lid for the bowl on take out. Not here. This food in this chicken bowl was easily 3/4 of an inch below the lid. On their corporate site the pic of the 'chicken bowl' has about thirty chunks of chicken in it. My bowl that I got today had ten. I feel so ripped off by this location. Won't be back and will trash the name every chance I get.

I’ve come here many times and they don’t miss. The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful (Teresa is one of my favorites there). Very clean space and I appreciate how consistent the 10/10 service is. My go to order is the chicken bowl with half yakisoba noodle and half brown rice with all the toppings and either the teriyaki sauce or yellow curry sauce.

I used to be a Zao regular. I loved the healthy options and good flavors. However, things have changed. Their serving size of meat and vegetables is just ridiculously small. They load up your bowl with a ton of rice to make you feel like you’re getting a ton of food.
