Wow, Wow, &?!!I think we found our new happy place!!The Pork ribs were HUGE(I know, that’s what she said?) The pig must have been on steroids. They were seasoned perfectly and had the right pull on off the bone. Sitting here writing this my mouth is salivating.They do everything right not a bunch of crappy sauces to cover poor cooked meats, like most places.They let their meat do all the talking.These thick and juicy ribs melt in your mouth and were priced right.The brisket bark was spot on, flavor was amazing but was a tad bit over cooked for my likings even asked for the fatty piece. Mac n cheese was also delicious.Now the beer list…. It Was outstanding!!I wanted to sit here all day drinking the beers and eating ribs.The story on how got here… we attended the Thai festival in Manassas Va on 4/7 stopped for a beer afterwards and the bartender suggested HammerDown. He said it was out of our way but said there is No good BBQ anywhere is Manassas. Hard to believe with over 40,000 people.So we decided to take a detour, way beyond our expectations! Well done ?The owner was kind and poured us up our beers and asked us if we were full.Also what kind of wood do you use?

My husband and I moved here from Alabama in 2019 and since then we have failed at finding good BBQ. Something that really reminded us of home in the South where you can find good BBQ almost anywhere. Until today, when we finally got around to trying Hammerdown after passing it several times and saying, "We should try there."What an absolute hidden gem! Hands down the BEST smoked meat we've had since leaving the south. I didn't get any pictures because after we took that first bite it was game on! Needless to say this will be the only BBQ place that we support. Absolutely delicious, well seasoned, and moist meats! Even our 7 year old son devoured his pulled pork sandwich.I'm only taking off a star as I felt the sides were a little lackluster being the collards were bland and the Mac n cheese wasn't great. The green beans were good and the baked beans.We tried the smoked sausage, brisket and pulled pork for the meats. Can't wait to try the rest that they offer!

Honestly some of the best bbq I've had in this area. The chicken was perfectly tender and flavorful. The pulled pork was well smoked and full of flavor. Neither were dried out. Definitely will be back for more!

I just ate the Brisket Sandwich with a bag of chips and side of Mac n cheese. Overall the flavors hit so I can't complain there. And the Brisket was very tender. My only issue was it was definitely dry. But it was good and I'd definitely be back if I was working in the area. Worth the money all day.

Went to Hammerdown today for a winter ride with the American Legion Riders group I belong to. The owners just laid a new motorcycle only parking pad which was a great surprise. I think we were the 1st to use it. Great food, great atmosphere and I highly recommend this great roadside BBQ place. I had the 2 meat platter with pork and chicken with the baked beans (delicious) and potato salad. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the great food and fellowship.

Oh. My. GOD!You drive into the gravel parking lot and the wood smoke hits you right in the SOUL. EVERYTHING is incredible from the meat (the pulled pork and brisket are a RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE and don't even need sauce, but the BBQ sauces are to die for). Great local craft beers on draft. I'm in HEAVEN. ❤️
