Good food and great service from Adrienne N. tonight at the BP!
My husband and I visited today. We are in town for the overland expo east but also coming from Asheville, NC and trying to find some normalcy even for the weekend. This restaurant was so kind to us and we greatly appreciated it. It was a positive to a very challenging time in our lives. Also the food was so good and the service was amazing. Thank you again!
the best resturant amherst has ever had. every server has been so loving to us, and the service is fast. the food is outstanding and very high quality, and i’ve never left unhappy. the most consistent quality resturant i’ve been to. as a chef, it’s hard for me to find food that excites me, and a lot of times i leave knowing i could’ve made better at home. but at briar patch i know i’ll get better than i expected. my favorite dishes are the french onion soup, buffalo wings and greek salad. (not to mention, the best hush puppies i’ve ever had) the greek salad left me drooling for more, and i was sad i only got it as a side dish. almost ordered another to go. truly phenomenal from start to finish. thank you to the owner and staff for making the environment so welcoming.

Stopped here on a recent road trip for lunch. Really enjoyed the food. Chix salad melt was nomnomnom! Potato skins were best I’ve had. Outside patio was pleasant and staff super nice. Will def remember this place if we come back down their way.

Over 1 hour wait for food where the portion was unreasonably small and food was cold. Not sure why the 1 hour wait was needed when they weren’t even busy when picking up the food.

Pleasantly surprised with the food. The menu is huge and it took us quite a while to select what we wanted but everyone was pleased with their food. Prime Rib was cooked nicely with most of the fat rendered and very tender. Prices were reasonable. Saw some great looking giant entree salads coming out of the kitchen to other tables. Might try one of those next time.

Service was good. Five stars
Atmosphere... We were told this was the nice restaurant in town. Tables/floors sticky. Paint peeling off the walls. Clumps of dust in the vents. Everything was dated, dusty, and sticky.
Wait staff was pleasant and prompt. Great service.
Food. Balsamic dressing for a salad was gelatinous.... Caesar salad dressing was just oil and lemon juice. Skirt steak was edible. The grilled chicken was the most plain chicken.
