Passing through Virginia and googling for a place to eat on a Saturday afternoon.
The building is very unassuming, like a regular residential house without a sign on it. When you stepped in it did feel like a very welcoming home.
Our server was extremely friendly and took great care of us. He could tell it’s our first time so he made sure to explain the nuance of their menu, like how their Caesar dressing is unconventional or how certain side dishes are made.

The rolls should come first but were served last and burnt. I asked for extra napkins. The server brought one. I asked for extra napkins again and again was brought one. My husband ordered steak rare. It came well done and was fat and grisstle with little meat. My filet mignon was ordered medium and it was served rare. He couldnt eat his steak so he ate my filet mignon. My potato was very well done, burnt, and I couldnt eat it. So he gave me his. My husband was afraid to say anything...
Delicious food, friendly staff. We watched Ultimate Frisbee on TV, and we could hear each other well despite how many families were there.

Update: I've been back several times since my initial review, including going alone on 8/31/25. Service and food have always been good, even when they've been busy. The time I went alone, I was treated just as well as if I'd been a table of regulars known to tip well, though I don't go here often enough...
