Amazing! I got the Friday special of turkey wings in gravy, yummy! The sides were also tasty-collards, green beans, cabbage, Mac & cheese, spoon bread, and the okra...we were stuffed and couldn't stop eating! (Other people got the porkchops that just fell off the bone, seafood platter, and sides with rice) I can't believe I didn't go before, but I sure will be back again and again. The staff was incredibly friendly, too!

We came from ny state area last year and this food was awesome.the yams was enough to kiss your mama.the food.the seasfood,chicken,porkchops was fablous my son took me here for mother day we just pick this one from the top of google and i.must say what a awesome choice.please dont write false review if you was dis please with a dish you need address it right inside.nobody ever. leave a Restaurant or pick up food and dont look at it.i was very disappointed about the bad review of that porkchop because my son pork chop looked like a soul food cook made it.that porkchop was dry up with no gravy .people write bad review just try destroy anyone character. Or business.

The cabbage and fried okra couldn't have been any better. Service was terrific. Staff was friendly. We would have loved to have tried everything on the menu. We left full and happy. Only suggestion is that they open a sister restaurant in Raleigh, NC!

First and last visit. On Sunday February 18th my husband and I drove 45 minutes away from home to try this restaurant for the first time.We ordered 4 entrées, 2 of them were smothered porkchop dinners. We thought the odd smell was the gravy. The gravy wasn't a typical brown gravy but more like a stroganoff type gravy. I don't like stroganoff so I only ate a small piece but my husband ate his. Well, we both had diarrhea! My husband was sick the entire night and had to leave work early the next day. We now believe that odd smell was possibly spoiled meat and not stroganoff gravy!I called the restaurant the next morning shortly after 10am and left a message with my contact info briefly explaining our experience. I knew when I called that the restaurant was closed until Wed. However, as of the date of this post, the restaurant has never called to discuss the matter which is very disappointing to say the least. I was hoping for a call-back before posting a review but unfortunately that didn't happen.

This is a hidden gem. I have eaten here several times and let me tell you the food is amazing!!! Two of my favorites are the collard greens and the turkey wings. DELISH‼️ It's just a real nice environment. They are so nice. Customer service is the best?
