We stopped going to the mechanicsville location after I had to throw my food in the trash since the guy making it kept coughing on my food while preparing it. So, this location has a serious issue with service and flies. We waited for over 20 minutes for find out the food had been sitting behind the counter simply needing to be put in a bag and handed to me. It was now cold. While I was waiting I noticed how many flies were everywhere, so again the food went straight to the trash. Dont waste you time and money.

Great food. Great staff. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere.
The way that they prepare their meat here is really good. I haven't tried a lot that is on the menu, but I imagine its as good as what I have tried.

The chicken kebabs were good. The sides we’re also good. But the steak kebab was inedible. It looked more like jerky rather than a kebab.

Do not know why we have not stopped by Fire & Chicken, the location at 115 N Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005, before today. Didn't realize it was tucked away where it is in Ashland? Never thought about it? We ordered food from there today and are VERY happy that we did!
We had family coming to visit today and were planning a barbeque with steaks and burgers. But one of the family members doesn't like beef, so we looked around to see where might be a good place to get fried or rotisserie style chicken. Fire & Chicken was mentioned in a lot of posts a very good, very consistent place to get charbroiled chicken, so we gave it a try.
Used their online system to order a whole chicken, and it took about 20 minutes to drive down there. The online ordering and pay system was fast & easy, and the order was waiting for me on the counter upon arrival.
Got back home, fired up the grill, and had platters of steak, burgers and this chicken for our guests. I should have ordered two whole chickens... it was a HUGE hit with the person that doesn't eat beef, and also with everyone else that gave it a try. Really moist and tasty.
We will definitely be back for another helping and will try their other items too. Excellent experience.

Fire & Chicken is exceptionally good food. Bonus tip for those who like to cook: save the bones and skin of the chicken for making stock. The seasoning of the Peruvian chicken gives homemade stocks an incredible depth of flavor.

This restaurant adds 1 dollar and 5 cent to everyone's order and calls it a credit card fee. If I spend 25 bucks for take out you should not charge me for my method of payment
Love this place the 1/4 chicken is the best
