Scott & team- Thank you so much for catering a wonderful rehearsal lunch! Everyone was so extremely accommodating from start to finish! Couldn’t ask for better food and service. Unfortunately we live 4.5 hours away but will definitely stop by every time we are in town!

The service is tops. Food was a little overcooked but still good.

The food is good ...for some reason the three times I went my bill was always the exact same amount...$48.18.....so I call it going out to 4818....2 beers, 1 wings, 1 pizza...4818......2 beers 1 wing 1 steak philly...4818....no beers 2 wings 1 pizza 4818.....but, I will go more often to support this place...you will love it....just make sure you have at least 4818 to pay for your meal.

Definitely worth the drive up Bent Mountain Road (US221) for lunch and an amber ale. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was great. My wife's bone-in pork chop was cooked perfectly. I had the pulled pork platter, and really liked the Bent Mountain & mustard sauces (you get a choice of 2.) Good mac-n-cheese and excellent collard greens. My wife tasted the greens and they were a bit spicy for her, but I thought they were just right. Perfect stop for lunch before a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I had not planned on leaving a review until after seeing the response to the one that my husbend had left that showed that whoever is responding to these is refusing to take any responsibility for the poor service they are providing. They apparently want to blame any service issues the have on their customers. We arrived and we're sat as the same time as two other tables. Seeing that the waitress was very busy we were prepared to wait but after about 20+minutes where she got the other tables drinks and put in their orders, we started to wonder what was going on. We would have been totally satisfied if she had even said "hi , I'll be right with you", or if the hostess that was standing up front, with no customers/tables to clean or anything had even offered us water. We continued to wait but finally left. Upon leaving the hostess just stared at us as we walked out blankly, never even saying sorry or, "can I get you something. "I can be sympathetic having worked in restaurants for years, I understand staffing issues, but this was bad. It's unfortunate because we do like to support small businesses.

Finally got a date night with the wife. We sat down and waited over 20 mins and no one came to get us drinks or order or anything. People that came in after us had gotten their drinks and were waiting on their orders. Asked my wife if we were invisible. Got up to leave and the hostess just stared at us, didn't say sorry, hold on let me help you, nothing.

First time I came here, the pizza was raw dough, sent it back. Got chicken salad, that was good. This time I got a meatloaf sandwich, collard greens and mash potatoes, carrot cake and ice cream.

Bun was soggy, collard greens grossly overly salted, mash potatoes overly salted, cake was dry, ice cream was bottom barrel cheap.

2 visits, both very poor. Try ParkWay grill as an alternative, worth the extra drive.

Staff is nice, restaurant is pleasant, just missing the good food part.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Added this place to our small list of places we love to eat!

Roadside bars tend to suggest a certain kind of clientele in America, but you'd be wrong for thinking that here - perhaps the funky trees on the walls have something to do with it. In any event, I strongly suggest you pull over and step inside. Not only was the service impeccable, it came with a smile and an attention to detail, that, if I'm honest, I probably wasn't expecting. (Large slice of humble pie for me!)
The food (I had the Pulled Pork served Carolina vinegar style, with home made fries and homemade coleslaw) was delicious, and filling. Perfectly balanced, not overdone with salt, and yet full of flavour.
The beer was on point too and the whole place had a welcoming presence that made for a perfect stop after a long haul up the Blue Ridge Parkway.
If this unassuming little place isn't on your radar - get a new radar, because it should be.
