3 of us went in expecting good VA BBQ. Guys ordered brisket and ribs. I ordered the brisket plate. The brisket for all of us came out dark and greasy, like someone had pan-fried leftovers. I tried eating it and couldn't even cut most of it with my knife. I tried the coleslaw and bacon-fried cabbage which both had good flavor. When I let the waitress know, they offered to make something else, but I was afraid to see what else would come out. They gave me 40% off my meal which was one piece of delicious cornbread, and some cabbage. Brisket should be easy for a BBQ place. The ribs were dry and fatty. The live music was great and the service was prompt and friendly. If I had been waiting our table, I would have steered our order away from anything but the pulled pork - which looked good on other people's plates. Worst meal I have paid for in a very long time. We were so disappointed.

Very cute and clean local spot! Jerk chicken was juicy and FALL OFF THE BONE with the perfect amount of heat! The sausage was my favorite-crispy but juicy and super flavorful! The pulled pork was good- but really to our surprise took a back seat to the others. The sides and apps were phenomenal-we had the spiral potatoes, cabbage and collards and all were flavorful and perfectly cooked! Tara, one of the owners was super sweet and personable and made sure when enjoyed our experience! (Also the home made cakes looked amazing but we were stuffed!!). We will be back!!

Food was cold. Orders were incorrect. Couldn’t get refills. Raw food came out of kitchen. Server couldn’t care less. Food sent back and came back burnt and raw again. They ran out of food after our orders were in. It was 1 pm. They got several orders wrong. Also they automatically add a tip. There is no way this place is 4.4 stars. I have to be honest here because I couldn’t comprehend so many mistakes in one event. Music was on point though.

We’ve eaten here numerous times, mainly through door dash and LET ME TELL YOU…the food is nothing less than absolutely amazing EVERYTIME!!! My personal favorite is the chopped chicken and also the jerk chicken rolls. If you’re looking for the best meal in Blackstone, this is your place!!!

like i owe this warning to everyone reading it . man i was craving bbq . this was such a god awful experience and really missed the mark. the pork nachos were disgusting. they maybe had 5 pieces of pork total. and way too many green bell peppers. the ribs were so dry and didn’t come with the sides I ordered. she even asked me which sides i wanted and i said fries and slaw then tried to argue i didn’t order sides. the service was terrible and both servers seemed very green. go somewhere else.

Great food at a decent price. Spacious and friendly. Great place for dinner.

Wow!!! i’ve traveled the world twice. I’ve eaten barbecue ribs, cornbread, and all the fixings all over the country, and this place is towards the top of my list! If you haven’t tried this place, you are truly missing out. I’m half tempted to ask for the beans and cornbread recipe because I don’t think I’ve had better.
