Local restaurant that has delicious country cooking and the best bread! I ate there on a Wednesday while in Blackstone on personal business. Drove an hour back to the restaurant and took family. So glad I discovered this gem.
Parking: Parking lot may be a little tight at busy times, however parking is free with handicap parking.

This is not my real name. I am using someone else's to protect my identity. I lived in Blackstone over 25 year's. I loved eating here so much that I got a job here. I discovered thousands of roaches in the kitchen running over the food and it's a miracle if nobody has had a roach in their food. The local health inspector at the time is very present in checking all the restaurants in town. It is quite obvious he has been paid to look the other way because there is NO WAY this place would pass a health inspection. I was so disturbed and mortified over what I saw in this kitchen. Anyone that says I am a liar is lying themselves. I don't even live in Blackstone anymore and have nothing to gain by telling the truth. If you don't believe me get a job here and find out the truth for yourselves. I wonder if anyone has gotten sick from the food.

I really wanted to like this place. We are getting married in Blackstone and have had a few people tell us to check Mitchell’s out as they do catering. First, it was the worst service I’ve ever had. We actually tipped the waitress at the other table more than we tipped ours because she helped us more than ours. My husbands chicken salad sandwich was good. My Greek chicken was still raw and they forgot my salad. My mom’s chicken was also still raw. My stepdads fried fish was so OVERCOOKED it was inedible. The manager ended up taking all of the adult entrees off and said that she understood why we were mad.

The best place to go if you're in Blackstone. Very good food and comfort food at that. We travel an hour every time we go because it's so good. The people who work there are amazing and super nice. It's a very nice feel! Please try it out!
