My friend and I stumbled across this place while on our way to a memorial service. Food was 2 thumbs up soul food. We had fried pork chop, pork bbq sandwich with cole.slaw, mac and cheese and greens. It was all good, I'd go back if I were in town. Seasoned good.

Best hotdogs and lemonade, the big momma burgers and bbq are really good also. Prices are more then fair for the great quality food! The ladies are always super sweet. My coworkers and I have been eating lunch here most days for the last few weeks.

Upon entering you are greeted with a smile and you can feel the genuineness of Big Mama. Oh yes, she is real and is there. Our food was cooked to order. Brought to our table with friendliness that you only get from a small town restaurant. The decor was reminiscent of my childhood. Clean, bright, and inviting. And on this 107 degree heat index. Wonderfully comfortable.
Parking: You can park right on the street. It is easy access and there is a lot adjacent to the building.

This was my first visit to Boykins VA. My husband and I were hungry and having a difficult time finding somewhere to eat. I did a google search and happened to run across Big Mama's country restaurant. OMG!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food reminds me of my mom's home cooked meals. Thank you so much. we loved it!
