I’ve been to this Thai spot in Brambleton a few times, and overall, the food has been decent. It’s usually quick, and my orders have been correct most of the time. For a convenient Thai option in the area, it’s been a reliable go-to—until my last visit.

During that visit, we ordered a curry dish and drunken noodles and requested mild spice, as we always do. Unfortunately, what we received was extremely spicy—so much so that neither my friend nor I could eat the food. For context, my friend has a higher spice tolerance than I do, and I’d say I’m somewhere in the middle, but this was way beyond either of us.

When we brought this up to our server, we were told (rather dismissively) that what we received was the mild version. This was frustrating because we’ve both eaten here before and know what their mild spice level usually tastes like. To make matters worse, my friend was nine months pregnant and just wanted something she could comfortably eat.

We asked if we could have the dishes remade or swapped out for something else, but the server didn’t offer any solutions. Instead, she just laughed it off and insisted that this was the mildest option available. There was no real effort to make things right, and we left feeling unheard and disappointed. We ended up boxing up the food but didn’t even take it home—it was simply too spicy to eat.

Unfortunately, that experience left a bad taste (literally and figuratively), and I haven’t been back since. I’ve started exploring other Thai spots in the area, and while I wish things had gone differently, there are definitely places that take customer feedback more seriously.

My Thai in Brambleton is a wonderful place for some good Thai food. The atmosphere is very comfortable & relaxing and the food is great. This is the fourth time I have eaten there and each time the food is wonderful.

I recently visited My Thai Place for dinner and ordered the shrimp basil fried rice and the vegetable basil fried rice. The flavors were good, but I was disappointed by the portion size, which felt quite small. It left me wanting more. Hoping they can improve on the serving size in the future.

We have ordered from My Thai many times and it never disappoints! The staff is extremely friendly when I pick up the order, our order is always ready with 15 minutes, there has never been a mistake in our orders, and the food is always delicious! I really appreciate the option to customize my Pad Thai as there are several things I can not eat and I love being able to add mushrooms! Honestly, I can't speak to the other items on the menu because my family is addicted to the Pad Thai, but I wouldn't hesitate to try other dishes because they are so consistent.

We love this place. We order out from here several times a year and have never had issues with our food or the accuracy of our order. It’s a little pricey for what you get but take out options are limited in Brambleton.

We came at 5pm, place was pretty empty but hostess was also our server. Food was great and came pretty fast. Will definitely come back to try other dishes!

Awesome Thai place. Great prices and great food. One of the best bang for your buck places around.
