I loved El charro and would order fairly frequently, but they recently changed how they make their food. No free chips and salsa with to go orders anymore. I'm really disappointed

There were guests at only 3 tables when I walked in. I waited 20 minutes and no one even took my drink order. I walked out, between. 4 young servers playing on their phones. Needless to say, I have crossed this place off my list!

The food is fresh and plentiful. The staff are attentive and they are well staffed.
I had Carne Asada without the jalapeño and asked for everything to be mild.
Everything was mild and the waiter stayed at the table to make sure it was the way I ordered it.
I drink insane amounts of diet coke with lime and my glass was never empty.
The salsa isn’t flaming hot and I like that - also isn’t filled with a ton of onions. My dish came with a couple of slices of avocado and fresh onion slices and I like that a lot better than some other restaurants I’ve been to that have a weird guacamole puree thing they pit on the side.
