Stopped for dinner while heading home to Roanoke. Brisket was only ok which is my primary reason for the 3 star rating for the food. It lacked significant smokiness in my opinion and wasn’t especially moist or tender. Again OK but not as good as I’d hoped for. The baked beans that I opted for were pretty good! Pulled pork sandwich was ok too. One of the best things we had were the fried pickles. Served piping hot, with a nicely deep fried thin (appropriately so) crispy layer of breading. Also it was a generous portion. Sweet tea was good but again not outstanding. Server was very pleasant and food was brought to table reasonably quickly on a rather quiet Wednesday evening. All in all I would eat here again but would also not rule out trying other places in Bristol first.

Overall terrible experience. Hell, my infants bath water is warmer than the food we were served…. We had to ask for a highchair 3 times, my husband ended up going outside to find one while the girl at the counter went back and forth between the front counter and the kitchen talking with coworkers. I overheard the conversation between the waitress and cook about the cheese on my burger. “What is that cheese? Wait no… leave it like that! *the girl laughs* ” spent $82 and couldn’t even eat the majority of the food. First time at Delta Blues and it also be our last.

The food was delicious. I didn't particularly care for the way the corn was cooked, though. The outside eating area is very nice. The service was good.

Delta Blues is one of the best places to eat. Great food and great customer service.
We went to Delta Blues on October 25th, 2024 for a date night without the kids. We proceeded to obtain a table near the bar while live music was setting up. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, pulled pork with two sides as an entree, and pumpkin pie pudding (it’s all the had) as a dessert. We waited 57 minutes for food to show up and when it did they gave us our dessert first. Our nachos came out second, very pathetic looking and cold, and our meals came last and they were cold as well. I returned our food because I wasn’t going to eat cold barbecue after almost an hour and a half of waiting. While waiting for our food to be returned we were met by what seemed to be the manager several times asking if he could take any plates off the table. This came off as if they were trying to rush us out, yet we hadn’t even eaten yet. Needless to say the entire experience was very disappointing and we won’t be back.

My husband and I are rib aficionados - we drive regularly from East Tennessee to Cincinnati just for the ribs at the Original Montgomery Inn - and we both agree the ribs at Delta Blues are the best we have ever had. They have a nice menu of different BBQ choices along with burgers and nachos and wings. Both my husband and I ordered the 1/2 rack rib tray. I had coleslaw and beans as my sides and my husband had the Cajun fries and beans. The Cajun fries were some of the best fries I have ever and and the coleslaw (a nice mix of vinegar and mayo based) was hands down the best slaw I have ever had. Service was good; you just order at the counter and they bring it to you, but both young women would took care of our order were pleasant and helpful. My husband and I are already planning our next visit.
