(10/16 Update at Bottom…) Original Review: We live just up the road from this particular location so we usually go there once every 2 weeks or so, maybe more depending on how we're feeling. At least 60% of the time the ice cream machines are down - how can you operate a Sonic Drive-In without shakes and ice cream? Most recently I tried ordering on Tuesday, 8/27 and the machines were down. We settled for McFlurries across the road. Today, 9/1 I tried placing an order again...and once again the machines are down. Now again we're going to Dairy Queen instead. You're losing money. Wtf.
Today is 10/16. We’re talking over a month since the last attempt to order at this locations. Still not taking orders via the app. Get it together! We went to Pal’s instead.

I was waiting on a friend to get done at a Drs appointment so I decided to come try the pickle fries since I love fried pickles. I feel they would have been great if they were fresh and not just little bits mostly. They literally came out to my car in one minute which was great except there was no way they were fried when I ordered them. Not gonna lie they were kinda a let 👇 down.

I'm very disappointed in this Sonic location. Today was medium slushes for .79 cents and when we ordered we were told no slushes due to the machine is down. So, we asked for a shake instead and they said that machine is also down. Same thing happened the last time there was a special for 1/2 price shakes back in May. And now I'm reading the reviews and it looks like they've had several complaints about the slushy machine and ice cream machine being down. That's ridiculous!! We've been to this location many times over the years but now it's just a disappointment when you think you might want a cold treat on a hot day. Either the machine is a piece of crap or the people don't want to take on the extra demand to fulfill a special deal. And they never offer to honor the special on another day when the machine is working. Definitely not fair!! What's the point in having a special if you can't get it?? My ratings are all 1 because -we didn't get the food we wanted, the atmosphere was disappointing once we were told we couldn't get it and the service - they really didn't seem to care that they couldn't provide what we asked for. I wish there was another sonic closer because I'd never go to this location again.

Sadly I had to remove 5 stars..and give 2. For the past 3 wks we have went down to Sonic to get a slushy or even the new treats on advertisement..only to be told over and over that their machines are down. How can a sonic machine be down for weeks???? Sadly we have to run 20 mins out of our way to another sonic if we want a slushy. Clearly someone needs to find out what is going on at that particular Volunteer Parkway Sonic.

There is no sonic close to me. I drove 18 minutes to get there and they have no slushies. The app didn't tell me until I was already in a stall and it informed me that my order couldn't be completed because they were out of large cherry slushies. Ok, different size. Nope. Different flavor. Nope. Does not tell you a location is out of something and it doesn't work most of the time. 50 minutes of my life and numerous mosquito bites for nothing.

This Sonic is worse than McDonald's when it comes to getting anything cold in the middle of summer. Every time I try to order something that involves ice cream or a slush it's unavailable. It's August and it's hot.
