Sushi isn’t usually my top choice when dining out, but I decided to try this place after seeing so many great reviews while looking for food nearby during my son’s baseball game. I ordered the Captain Crunch and Shrimp Tempura rolls — both were sooo good! The staff were very friendly, too. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in the area!

This was some of the best sushi I have had in 6+ years. Everything was so fresh, and the Specialty Rolls were creative. The service was excellent. My waitress offered some great suggestions. Was very attentive to me and my friends needs. If this place was closer to my house, I would eat here at least once a week.

10/10 Every single time. Myself and my Boyfriend’s favorite little date spot. Always greeted with kindness, smiles, and seated immediately. Everything is very clean, inside is simple decor and calming. Most importantly their sushi is always rolled to perfection and fresh. Never have had a bad meal or experience here. I would recommend to everyone. Their staff is courteous, appreciative and hard working. We love AKA and can’t wait for our next visit!

We were blown away by how good the sushi was being in a strip mall next to the grocery store. All of the fish was the perfect serving temperature, not the overly chilled fish you'll find when people are trying to mask the off flavors.
Ok, wow...I ate at another sushi place a few weeks ago and thought I would try another here in the Manassas area. Well this place just blew me away. I had the Kenny roll and the Shogun...amazingly fresh and the sushi just melted in my mouth. I also had the Dynamite salad and I can't recommend it enough. Service was excellent and the sushi is absolutely the best I've had to date in this area. Don't hesitate to come here. AMAZING!

Holy cow! I’ve walked past Aka Sushi every time I’ve gotten a haircut for the past 15 years. I finally noticed their 4.5 stars on Yelp and 4.8 on Google, and figured I owed them a shot.
They passed the visual inspection at the sushi prep bar, so I cautiously started with some yellowtail sashimi. It was fresh and delicious.
They’ve got the classic Japanese beers, brewed in Italy and the US, of course, but still felt authentic.
I dove into the White Dragon roll, and it was so good I had to try the Sexy Mama roll too, even though I was full.
Guilty of judging a book by its cover (next to a dry cleaner), but Aka blew me away. Not just the best sushi in the area; some of the best I’ve had in years, across several states. The service was amazing.

I was looking for a local alternative to grocery store sushi, for those occasions when you want something that isn’t pre-packaged. Ive tried a few other places in the area all of which were ok, but nothing special. Stopped in here for lunch and was blown away by the quality of sushi and the menu. By far my favorite sushi I’ve had since I left Japan. I am already looking forward to my next visit.
