I ordered a soup for pick up over the phone. While ordering I asked the server 2 times if the soup was spicy, and he said no. When arrived to pick up asked again if the soup was spicy he said NOT AT ALL. Arrived home and the soup was Thai spicy lol. I asked for a refund and they denied my request, even though I even left a tip. What a scam!!!

Worthy Mex-Tex restaurant in Bristow!

Took my family of four to Cinco de Mayo Tex Mex Grill ("Cinco") for lunch today and we all walked out delighted, full, and looking forward to visiting again and having a few margaritas with our meal. Also, for an evening meal, we'd very much like to try their ceviche and other appetizers.

The restaurant was clean, roomy, and inviting. Pleasant Mexicano music was playing on the stereo and the interior was tastefully and creatively decorated with a lit up tree and a wall-spanning 3D artwork of horses in gallop. Coming in, we felt comfortable and welcome right away. We were met and led to a corner booth by a friendly server.

The menu has a broad variety of dishes for most any taste. I would say the dishes and ingredients tend toward the mainstream American taste but it doesn't matter as you go in with the right expectations. What matters are the ingredients and their preparation, both of which were of good quality. If you are looking for birria or lengua or anything further off Main Street, there are other good options. But for easy access, quality and variety, Cinco is more than acceptable.

Our entrees were the fish tacos, carne asada fajitas, carne asada chimichanga, and taco/enchilada combo. The quantity of all dishes was more than appropriate for lunch (or dinner) and the flavors were clean. Crispy things were crispy, creamy things were creamy, and the guacamole was fresh. The carne meat was plentiful and flavorful. We also enjoyed the crispy and flavorful fish and soft tortillas. The table chips were thin and crispy and the house salsa tangy and bright with just a touch of heat.

The server was pleasant, engaging, and professional. Just a delight to have him take care of us. There were no complaints or problems at all. Lunch at Cinco was an uncommon, smooth, pleasant and satisfying experience in all respects.

We will definitely return to sample more of their very fine food.

By the way, I refere to Cinco as "Mex-Tex" because the atmosphere was more south of the border than Amarillo. We felt that they set a wonderful, authentic-feeling atmosphere in an accessible setting that provides good food at a good value.

Five stars here means "in relation to comparable tiered dining experiences" and in that category, Cinco was well worth our time and appetites.

I got the steak fajitas, and I could say it was amazing. Normally alot of these tex Mex spots have steak with no favor, this time it was very tasty. Almost shocked how the taste for the steak was.
Staff was helpful and my glass never went dry.

My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant while visiting Manassas. We were greeted enthusiastically and seated right away. Our server was timely and friendly. The chips and salsa were very good. The salsa is not your typical Mexican restaurant style. This salsa is a darker tomato and cumin blend. My husband and I liked the change of pace. Our food arrived quickly with nice presentation. Food was excellent. Restaurant is very clean with nice ambiance.

I have been coming here 3 or 4 times a week since January and have explored the menu completely. I have never found anything but the highest quality food and service. I feel completely confident that what ever I order will be of the highest quality and served by the finest group of people I have met. However you must remember that this is not a Taco Bell. There are no dollar tacos but there are no dollar taco taste.
