This was a first time experience and will not plan to return. Spent $80.00 after taxes for the family meal. The brisket was tasteless and grey. The pulled chicken and pork were dry. Lastly, the burnt tips were nothing more than squares of what appeared to be beef roast…there was nothing charred and flavorful about them. The baked beans, however, tasted good. Overall very disappointing. Please don’t waste your money.

I would give a negative star if I can. Never have I’ve been so disappointed at food. I can’t believe I paid $30 for a few thin pre sliced and extremely dry brisket… the picture should speak for itself.

I’ve only been to this place twice but unfortunately both times the quality of food was terrible. I was the only one in the restaurant, the food was served cool, and there were black flakes coming out of the soda machine.

Expensive and bad quality

Ordered the chopped brisket sandwich to go. Was very very disappointed. Portion was extremely small and beef was dry, served on a cold potato bun. Found a 16” brown hair inside the chopped brisket. Overall a failed experience.

This place was really good before Covid. Ever since their portion sizes have become significantly smaller while increasing the overall price for the food. I also order a large fry but they gave me a small but did not correct their mistake after I had brought it to their attention. Overall their food is good but is not justified by the price.

Never have smoked half chickens. Recently even called at 5:30 and they were out.

Picked up half pound brisket for $16, no sides. The Brisket was like sliced roast beef in my opinion. Quality of meat is fresh, but for the price and the cut I probably won't be repeating. I've had better briskets, this spot just isn't it lol.

Restaurantji Recommends
7 of the last 9 times I came in they didn't have burnt ends. No apologies, no explanation, just nope.
They are being taken over by another company who do not supply them with what is necessary to succeed.
They started the take over 2 years ago.
The staff is nice, but they are having to overcome incompetence at the corporate level. When I asked who I could contact, they were clueless.
A fish stinks from the head down.
I left with no food. I had to wonder what else was screwed up.

I can’t see how they can call this BBQ. The brisket wasn’t brisket, it was roast beef. Had no bark at all. The other thing that was odd was there was no sweet tea. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Worst $24 I ever spent. Very disappointed when left.

This was a decent BBQ place. Very much just KC BBQ. The food was good for sure, but didn't enjoy the fact that all of their sides were a la carte. The service was good and seemed to be a very popular spot for folks in that area. Definitely give them a shot!

Not impressed. Took it to go because of staffing issues, no biggie we were in a hurry.
My brisket sandwich had 3 very thin slices of brisket. Dry, no juices at all.
The fries were very soft AND mushy.
My husband is from Mobile and said the Alabama sauce is a big NO.
I see they are changing names, but we have never been impressed with Craftworx food either.
The owner in his Mercedes SUV parked in a Handicap space to load his car...
The location (particularly the parking) is terrible.
Park further away and walk, because no one will let you out.

We've just discovered this place and we have come from down South (Alabama) where real BBQ is made! Unfortunately, we have become BBQ snobs. We are looking for a deep smoke into the meat, dry rubs, and woodfire slow perfection - i.e. real BBQ. We don't want to taste the sauce unless we decide to add it ourselves. This place is LEGIT! We've tried places all over Virginia and this is on our top 10 list.
