Very cool spot with a unique experience. Murlarkey is a distillery with a tasting room and a cocktail lounge. The lounge area is reservation only which I didn't know heading in. Gives it a real speak easy vibe. I was visiting early and they had an opening at the bar, lucky me. The mixologists were very friendly, definitely felt taken care of. The drink menu is exceptional, really nice options ranging from traditional to eclectic. You are limited to 2 drinks per person per visit because of va liquor laws. They have a larger facility under construction that will include a kitchen, hoping the vibe stays the same.

Omg I feel bad even writing this because I don't want to expose this gem. Murlarkey's totally slaps. Their model is great, everyone there is so kind and generous. And the drinks are to die for. If they had food it would be lights out but then it would probably ruin the whole vibe they have going.

I showed up to this establishment to do a tasting. Unfortunately, I was refused at the door because I did not have a reservation. Which I completely understand, however, the servicer's attitude behind the bar was not great. I showed up to support a local business in Manassas, and I was rejected at the door. I will definitely be taking my money elsewhere. I would not recommend.

Distiller for a day is a fantastic experience! Kevin is very impressive. Be sure to stay thru the end of cocktail hour and take time to talk with Anna (sp?) because she's a wealth of information on making drinks, especially if you don't consider yourself a bourbon/whiskey drinker!

After a morning of fishing in the heat my friend and I decided to step in for a quick drink to cool off, we entered and no one greeted us the place is well appointed and is quite cozy however we felt unwelcomed by any of the staff when one of the bar maids approached and told us we could take a drink to go and come back after taking a tour in a way that told us we were most unwelcomed at the time. The gentleman that was entertaining the tour at the time seemed to scoff at us when we entered, I'm not sure why that was. I sampled some of the spirits and a drink and I can say there's nothing exceptional going on here just other than poor service and arrogance
