The night we went we had planned to eat in the restaurant but only other customer was just finishing up and the atmosphere was no existent. We took our food to go. The food was average but was disappointed not have an eat in option.
We visit the Country Cafe in Little Washington from time to time with our friend who lives there. I just heard that the owner is considering closing this wonderful restaurant and we are SO upset!! Betty always greets us so cheerfully and the cook makes my favorite BLT whenever we are there. My husband, Mack, always enjoys the special of the day and our friend has a sandwich she loves, too. When we lived in Falls Church, VA our favorite hiking territory was east side of Shenandoah National Park, driving thru Faquier County and then south on Highway 131 to access various trailheads. We often grabbed a delicious burger at Country Cafe in Washington, just a couple miles of the road.
