North Star is one of the best places to eat outside of Roanoke. Not just the food is amazing and affordable. The taste brings you back to good old days of grandma‘s cooking. The restaurant has a small home town feeling where everybody knows each other.

The best food, and you couldn't ask for friendlier or more efficient service. A word to the wise, their portions are great, so unless you want a two meal burger, order the single. Cole slaw is homemade and not out of a store container. My crab cakes meal was only $11.00 but tasted like a hundred! Just a lovely, friendly place.

List of a restaurant is a great Mama pop's place. The setting was very quaint and very nice. The waitress was extremely nice. Very prompt with bringing food and drinks. Very courteous. Her customer service was very good. We didn't have to wait at all for a table so that was good. And it didn't take all that long to bring the food as well. The food ended up being very good. I had the baked chicken with macaroni and cheese, mixed grains and slaw with rolls. The chicken was seasoned very well, And the sides were well prepared. Also. My two signs each. Got the double bacon. Cheeseburger they can come in about a pound of meat and that's almost a pound after it was even cooked. Needless to say, they were very pleased with their burgers. The youngest son it's turned out wasn't quite as hefty as he thought he was and was not able to finish the entire hamburger. Probably were there. My oldest son, however, was able to devour it. He said that it was one of the best burgers he's had in a long time aside from the ones that I make at home. LOL. We travel through this area a lot for work and I'd most definitely will be stopping in here again to eat. We were so stuffed. We ordered the blackberry cobbler to go and several hours later when we got home it was time to eat the Blackbird collar and it was very good as well.

My two boys, my husband, and I just enjoyed the most delicious breakfast at North Star Restaurant. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, the customers were amazingly warm, and the food brought back memories of mornings with my grandma. We can’t wait to stop here again on future drives to PA.

We stopped in this morning for breakfast and loved the little country diner. The staff was friendly and we loved seeing locals including veterans gathered sharing stories over coffee. Get the biscuits!! We’ll be back!
