Stumbled across this restaurant after traveling from South Carolina to stay in the area for the Christmas holidays. The family was super nice and very friendly. Our 4 meals were delicious after 8 hours on the road. Would recommend this restaurant to any who is in the area. Going to try and get back by there before we head back to South Carolina in 7 days.

Never had a bad meal. Had the open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and green beans tonight. You can get two meals, 3 sides and two drinks for under 40.00. Prices are great and food is even better. They will always have our business!

The food is very good. The front door doesn't close all the way and flies get in. The table seemed sticky. Recommend take-out. The meals we ate there was very good at a good price. A local police officer was there with his daughter cursing every other word.

Hello this is Deb's view. Love this place. My most recent visit was just as expected, cool. I will get to the food in a second. Let's talk atmosphere. I find something new to look at every time I walk into what used to be an automotive shop. I admit I forget the name. You can't not want to hangout here due to the charm and nostalgic feel of a soda shop. Ok, the shop was very enticing in my view. Which you can check in my pics. A photographer, I am not. Foot smack: I ordered two steak and cheese subs with everything and two shakes. (they we out of Chocolate!!! 😭) But I was very pleasantly surprised by the peanut butter shake. The only problem was, all the good Reese's and peanut butter was stuck to the bottom. A little longer in the mixer would have helped. The Steak and Cheese sub was fantabulous. Me personally could have used a bigger shake from the spice shaker. Of course just my view. I appreciated the cut, cook and portion of the steak. The roll was perfectly toasted and slathered. The staff: Always friendly and helpful. They all add to the charm . Can't wait till next time. I'll let you know.

This place is an absolute must if you're goung through Callao! I would like to mention first that they do appear to be closed often, not entirely sure why. This establishment is a quaint, local fast-food joint. The service was a little slow when we came, but it was 4th of July weekend so I believe it's typically not slow. Priced were fantastic. We ordered all sorts of food. Sides, burgers, milkshakes, sandwiches, etc. Everyone was fine with their food. The staff members were very kind and outgoing as well. I'm so glad my fsmily and I were finally able to stop by, and I absolutely reccommend it for anyone who is interested.
BIG hamburgers cooked properly and good buns for really good prices! Iced tea is nice and strong, not watered down like in most places.

Need to start off with over stating that the food is AWESOME. Pricing is beyond fair. The facility needs to be a bit attended to. They need to play low music or something, just too quiet and small place. You can’t avoid “listening” to others conversation. Highly recommended, just needs a bit of tweaking.

I love Tootsie’s Diner. We had a long kitchen remodel last fall and I relied on Tootsie for lunch and dinner many days. Love the menu- faves are Callao Club sandwich, mushroom Swiss burger, strawberry pecan spinach salad & fried Oreos. Sending ☮️ and ❤️ to Tootsie and her staff!!!
