This place is an absolute must if you're goung through Callao! I would like to mention first that they do appear to be closed often, not entirely sure why. This establishment is a quaint, local fast-food joint. The service was a little slow when we came, but it was 4th of July weekend so I believe it's typically not slow. Priced were fantastic. We ordered all sorts of food. Sides, burgers, milkshakes, sandwiches, etc. Everyone was fine with their food. The staff members...
Need to start off with over stating that the food is AWESOME. Pricing is beyond fair. The facility needs to be a bit attended to. They need to play low music or something, just too quiet and small place. You can’t avoid “listening” to others conversation. Highly recommended, just needs a bit of tweaking.
I love Tootsie’s Diner. We had a long kitchen remodel last fall and I relied on Tootsie for lunch and dinner many days. Love the menu- faves are Callao Club sandwich, mushroom Swiss burger, strawberry pecan spinach salad & fried Oreos. Sending ☮️ and ❤️ to Tootsie and her staff!!!
