Caret Cellars has a relaxed atmosphere that puts you at ease as soon as you walk in the door. The Tannat has become my favorite full bodied red. The wine club is an excellent value! I did my first pick-up party yesterday and it surpassed my expectations. Started with charcuterie board of meats, nuts and cheeses, followed by a full lunch and great company. At Caret they make you feel like family - they even took out the china dish ware to serve lunch…the kind your mom saves...
When visiting Caret Cellars I was greeted warmly by the staff. I was given a small tour of the facility and was pleased by the atmosphere. I also love the events that they host here for the community. This place is truly a hidden gem. I recommend taking the time to visit the vineyard. This is one of the best kept secrets of Virginia. Great place to just relax. Bring a lunch enjoy and talk to the owner. He knew was so much and is so willing to give a lesson on wine. The Chamborcine is one of the best Chamborcine wine you will taste. All the wine is great..
